You know how it’s literally impossible for the mind to truly comprehend the enormity of space, the number of stars and planets, and infinity? That’s how I feel when I hear about companies like Amazon and Microsoft being able to kill so many jobs and still apparently run. My brain cannot accept it

Imagine being able to, in 3 years, kill enough jobs to populate a small city - and still be allowed to continue operating as any sort of a business

The terminations, expected as soon as Tuesday, could affect as many as 30,000 jobs, Reuters reported on Monday, citing sources.

Cuts on that scale would be the largest since rolling reductions in late 2022 and early 2023 that ultimately totaled more than 27,000 corporate employees, as Chief Executive Officer Andy Jassy looked to cut costs after expanding rapidly during the pandemic. Since then, there has been a steady drip of more modest layoffs targeting individual teams.

Thanks everyone. Just a follow up on this post - I was still using the old one until yesterday, but on Monday I bought one of these because it was the same brand as the one I bought in 2007, was $100, and it's big enough to fit in all the things I needed. It arrived yesterday. Thanks for your help

On March 31, 2025, YouTuber Cam Wilder posted a video titled "My Overpowered AAU Team has Finally Returned!" (stylized in all caps) in which a boy, Maverick Trevillian—later nicknamed "67 Kid" —is seen going up to the camera and yelling "six seven" while performing a hand gesture in which he moves his hands up and down with upward-facing palms.

In August 2025, social media users begin creating photo edits distorting Trevillian in a bizarre or grotesque fashion likened to analog horror. This meme, called "SCP-067 Kid", satirizes the SCP Foundation, a collaborative fiction project about fictional paranormal anomalies; "SCP-067 Kid" is not to be confused with the canon "SCP-067", which is about a pen.

Last night I had a dream I was watching Looney Tunes on my lunch break and one was an extended parody of “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” that mostly involved Bugs hanging straitjackets on the clothesline and was quite light on jokes. Probably because I’ve never seen the movie
