Hello! Posting this so I can pin it.

Recently I posted a brief snippet of a short story audio drama series I am currently writing based on my homebrew world I use for my D&D campaign.

I have compiled all the notes here:

Yeah very cool! Do you try and find comics that haven't already been done? Or just do whatever you like either way?

As for workshops, I live in a pretty quiet city in Australia so there really isn't much surrounding this hobby here, do you attend online classes and such?
Really helpful advice. Do you know of any groups or communities that do little things like the small projects? Or like fun comic dubs and the like? Im pretty active on casting call club as it is but if there is others that are around id love to know about em.
What do y'all other voice actors do between projects? What did you do to build up a portfolio or anything before actually being cast in anything? Trying to figure out what to do with my time while waiting :(

My #d&d party is literally 🤏 this close to confronting the BBEG but we have had to postpone the last 2 sessions. The suspense has truly been eating me away.
Reposting this at a better time in the day to see if that helps it get eyes. 👀

Hi all, ages I mentioned I was doing a series of short stories based off my homebrew D&D world. The idea is for a narration style done by me, with dialogue sprinkled in between characters that would be woven amongst the narration itself. Here is a snippet of what I had in mind.

Also big thanks to @nathilustra.bsky.social for doing the art for the characters! Their style is perfect for what I have envisioned!
Please feel free to reach out if you have questions, feedback, just wanna say hi, absolutely anything.

But yes please also check my pinned tweet for more details on the project. It's all very amateur but hey, nobody gets better without trying, so let's get it done!

I will be doing a #Castingcall at some point for #voiceactors in the future. Episode 1 is completely finished and Episode 2 is in it's final stages. I'd ideally like to have at least 2-3 completely finished, and most of them on their way before I start really hammering it home.

Got a delightful commission from a friend recently to better advertise my #Voiceacting presence! Hopefully will be more appealing on @castingcall.club !

Alternatively, any other #voiceactors got anything fun in the works?
I definitely will be opening it up when I have more episodes written. I'm planning on releasing a batch of about 5 and then regularly from there. I think the first episode alone has about 6 or 7 unique roles, but some are smaller than others of course.
That's sort of what I'm going for! Like the first story follows a man through his adult life, and touches on his wife and brother in law, so I'd also make an episode about the individual lives of the other two also, making their meetup more meaningful.
Each episode is supposed to be fairly enclosed, maybe some #voiceactor played characters will appear in other stories but id like for each episode to be the start and finish of each characters story. I'm hoping in time people can find it and it'll be a full experience (episodes on people and places)
With the short lore stories I'm writing for my own #D&D world, does anyone have any opinions on if disjointed character stories released one at a time would be palatable? I'm just not sure if I should do the episodes frequently but one off, or record a batch and upload them as "seasons"
Wuk Lamat was an awesome character and ill never understand where the hate comes from.
Sounds good! I'll probably be a bit louder about it when I have something fully written, but for now it looks like I should have 4 or 5 voiced roles.
There would be few if any recurring character roles, but the main point would be to get myself and others involved in some #voiceacting work to see projects come together. Credited of course!
Deciding to take things into my own hands and write a series of mini audio dramas based on small parts of lore within my home-brew #DnD campaign, if I were to do an unpaid #castingcall how interested would people be in participating?
I actively hate using bird site, it feels like every day there is a new bigotry invented. I can't use it any more, its even hard to forge your own little bubble of good interactions as a the shit just infests everything now. The harder you block it out the harder it pushes.
