Can confirm, apparently growing up my in-laws would tell my husband he’s annoying or bothering them. He now would sooner bleed out from a gunshot wound than bother someone by asking them for a ride to the hospital (not a real example just hyperbole he has not been shot). Words fuck you up hard.
