Reflecting on my talk to Newark Regional Business Partnership's quarterly meeting—such an energizing group of leaders driving Newark's comeback!

In 2024, we shattered records with $833M in in-state production spending ($701M in 2022), fueling thousands of jobs.

🎯 #NJWorkforceDevelopment: Cast and crew hires increased 69% in 2024 to 30,000 people.

🎯 #FilmingInNewJersey: There is only one state that has seen an increase in film and TV production ➡️ NEW JERSEY.
🎯 #FilmReadyNewJersey: Certifications of localities are up and will exceed expectations by the end of the year.

🎯 #NJQualifiedSpend: It’s up from $121 million in 2018 to $833 million in 2024.

Location Manager David Occhino and MSU’s own Krystal Acosta joined me on a panel discussion, moderated by Keith Strudler, Dean of the College of Communication and Media to discuss entertainment biz.

Media Operations Summit and Techspo (M.O.S.T.) invited college and high school students, faculty and staff to come see the newest film/tv/audio technology: cameras, accessories, software, etc.

🎥📺Major film and tv manufacturers such as Sony and Black Magic were there.
Exciting time talking about the state of the #NJFilm business to a record turnout of students for Montclair State University Broadcast and Media Operations 2nd Annual Media Operations Summit and Techspo (MOST)!
Took a walk around out the office today to get some fresh air and decided to be #CreativelySane and photograph architecture.

NJ Motion Picture & Television Commission in-state production spending from filmmaking hit $833 million in 2024, surpassing the previous record of $701 million in 2022.

556 productions filmed last year, hiring more than 30,000 crew members, nearly doubling the number of crew hires from 2023.
So proud of how far #NJFilm has come. This is what I am talking about 🎞️ ‼️
