ALERT MOVING WARNING TO DEFCON 2 (1/6)!

It is inexcusable. How can anyone even vaguely knowledgeable in naval warfare not see that this is a Russian ship? The US has never had a ship that even vaguely resembles this.

While it is true that a mutation(s) making a virus into a rapid killer COULD be disadvantageous, it is not that simple. Mutations are generated randomly and generate 'illogical' outcomes like super killers. Yes a milder strain might outcompete it, but that might take months leaving millions dead.
