Happy #Halloween! Portraits aren't my main genre of #photography. But to stretch a bit, I did a free photobooth at a block party in my neighborhood (Remington, in #Baltimore). So much fun! And I love the thought of these folks, strangers mostly, getting joy from the photos I made for them.

Last week, I took a few days off to chaperone a bunch of 6th graders on a 3-day field trip to NorthBay. A highlight for me was, one by one, getting the kids in my cabin to look up at night. The sky is a lot more interesting away from the bright lights of #Baltimore. #photography #sky #infrared

Bird people: Is something afflicting small birds in Baltimore? Twice in a week, I've found live but catatonic #birds sitting on the sidewalk with grey and cloudy eyes. They were in roughly the same neighborhood (Charles Village) Some kind of #disease ? #Ornithology #pathogen

I've been experimenting with #infrared flash. It's more flattering than sunlit IR on humans, which is unexpected. The #glow effect seems rounder somehow. #BlueSkyArtShow. I want to try it with a wider range of skin tones. #photography #candid #street #Baltimore
