Turfgrass Science at the Ohio State Fair today
Mesotrione controlling weeds in amenity turf. It prevents the formation of carotenoids, causing chlorophyll to degrade and lose its green color, which results in white weeds. Pictures were sent to me by a curious friend.
It is spider mite webbing or Pythium disease on new ryegrass seedlings? They can be hard to tell apart, but the disease looks fluffy, & will quickly kill the grass!

We are using it on cool-season grasses. If you have warm season grasses that might be why you haven't heard of it.
