Broader: Centrist Dems should stop punching left, and leftists should stop sabotaging incremental progress and demotivating ideologically mixed coalitions (mostly this is centrist Dem leadership and leftist rank and file. Leftists in office and center-left rank and file often set good examples IMO)

More seriously: yes, there is. If we survive another decade we can talk about it over coffee. Meanwhile we need a coalition that can take power from fascists and address some existential threats, and we need it yesterday.

If this boat was broadcasting a pan-pan for engine failure then the US Navy knew it when they attacked. That's "ravening monster" level behavior. There are probably some outright pirates who would do better.

As far as I can tell, NYT is more devotedly pro-Trump than Fox. Fox just wants a particular viewership to feel things. NYT chooses every word, font, and article placement to provide the best possible cover for an authoritarian takeover
