Tried a new recipe: honey whole wheat sourdough, glazed with butter #sourdough #breadsky #baking #food
Red lentil curry that my fiancée and I made for dinner... and a crumb shot of the sourdough cheese bread I baked earlier. #cooking #baking #sourdough #breadsky #food #curry
Cheese bread just came out of the oven! #baking #sourdough #breadsky #food
Very happy with how this loaf came out. The cheese bread is still in the fridge; it has milk in it, so I didn't want to leave it out too long on the counter.

Tried converting my mom's cheese bread recipe to sourdough. I'm hoping it comes out well! #sourdough #baking #breadsky #food
Crumb shot of the first loaf
Baked a double batch. The second loaf (first picture) sat out for about 2 hours extra at room temp while the other loaf was baking. Looking forward to comparing the crumb. #sourdough #baking #breadsky #food
Baking bread today. Used a little bit of extra starter and some leftover sauce to make myself a little breakfast pizza. #sourdough #pizza #baking #breadsky #food
Sadly, it was not. I don't know if it was a heavy hooch flavor or the fact that it had milk in it, but it smelled like feet, and we decided to throw it out. This is the crumb shot; I neglected to take a picture of the outside before we tossed it.
Forgot this poor loaf in the proofing box for a few hours too many. It'll be interesting to see if it's still edible after baking. #sourdough #breadsk6 #baking #food
First time trying a milk bread recipe. Internet sources were divided on whether it's safe to leave dough containing milk at room temp. In the end, I avoided it. I'll definitely be adding yeast if I bake this again. #sourdough #breadsky #baking #food
This week’s first loaf. It BF'd way too long and overflowed its container, but it seems like it came out OK. #sourdough #breadsky #baking #food
My first brioche had a great texture, but it looks tastier than it is. The recipe called for whole milk; I used 2% and a little yogurt, which I think was a mistake. It probably could have used more sugar, too. Nothing a big lump of butter can't fix! #sourdough #breadsky #baking #food
Three baking firsts for me: making brioche, making rolls, and making a pan loaf #sourdough #breadsky #baking #food
Crumb shot from this one. Considering that it was a rush job, I'm quite happy with it.
Surprisingly good oven spring on this second loaf, which was also overproofed #sourdough #breadsky #baking #food
This one overproofed and stuck to the banneton, so it got a little deformed. Had to skip cold proof because it was fully risen when I got up this morning. It'll still be tasty, I think. #sourdough #breadsky #baking #food
I really want to concoct my own design that takes advantage of the ear the way those symmetrical flower loaves with the raised petals. I thought it would be fun to see if I could make it rise up in a predictable way
Thanks! It was kind of an experiment. I wanted it to rear up out of the surface. It worked a little but it was uneven (and my freehand art skills are pretty unpracticed)
Went for a more complex design with this one. Can you guess what it is?

Check the alt text to see if you got it right. #sourdough #breadsky #baking #food
Double batch of dough, after hydrolysis. No experiments for now, just trying to get some more bread baked in between other tasks. #breadsky #sourdough #baking #food
Sounds like a good idea. I was also surprised by the results. I'm planning to repeat the test in a week or two and see if it's repeatable.
Yeah, the slap and fold loaf was a little gummy; it seemed like it was underbaked, though I baked them both for the same amount of time and the other one came out fine. I think it was partly due to the aluminum, which I hadn't used before. I did let it cool for at least 3 or 4 hours before cutting
