Any time i get follows on twitch outside of streams, especially on days where i can't stream for one reason or another, it makes me wanna cry.

Because it tells me that people enjoy my stuff enough to wanna try to catch a stream sometime. Helps me feel like im actually doing something correctly.

Before anyone jumps me: I love game grumps but also can admit they just can't play certain games.

A lets play channel but you play the games objectively wrong so that everyone who sees the video feels obligated to comment about how you are meant to play the game

Update: I survived the dinner by hitching a ride with my cousin who was leaving early to take care of their baby.

Twitch, in their efforts to combat bots, have made changes that made it so lurkers don't count towards viewership, so allot of people across the board have been experiencing lower viewer average as a result.

If any like major vtuber names that i know about in the indie space followed me, id probably just explode/question endlessly what bit of content they saw from me that made them do that.

My best guess is some corpo loser looked at some numbers and convinced the higher ups that lurkers provide less money to twitch on average so if they slowly made lurking not viable, lurkers would be forced to become more active to have to support their fav streamers.

The thing that solidified it for me that it wasn’t “just a bug” was the clip of the person with 750 viewers asking their lurkers to talk for a moment and immediately jumping up to 1000 viewers in like 10 seconds

My curiosity got the better of me and i checked clearsky, they are also on a blocklist for "People who use the R word". All im gonna say is nothing of value lost on the block.

Scrolling through their replies and seeing allot of them are replies to "blocked post" so i feel like thats pretty telling that either they just instablock after a responce or get blocked allot.
