I miss the western united states terribly. we used to visit LA all the time to see family but I hadn't been here since 2012. there's so much familiarity even in something as simple as the regional flora that pulls at my heart and I'm happy that I was able to come back for a bit

visiting LA has done a lot for my heart and mind. driving up the PCH on a crisp afternoon to see the ocean for the first time in years, watching the sun set over the canyon with palms swaying in the wind, all with great company is everything I could have asked for in a bday trip

seeing rilo kiley at the greek tonight traveled me back in time to 2007 and healed my soul in way I didn't know I needed. finally got to see my favorite band after all these years and it was everything I wanted
