#liujiu where lqg is a college student who works at a cafe and sj works at a nearby office and stops by for cakes and matcha after work. he sits there for hours, oblivious to the longing stares from customers and lqg's coworkers...

sj and lqg go on multiple dates after that and it soon becomes VERY CLEAR that sj has continuously gone to their cafe not bc he likes their expensive matcha lattes, but bc he likes watching lqg work--

the uncharacteristically suave text sends lqg diving for his pillows. he glances at his phone--too scared to look. and maybe an hour later he finally gets a text

"no, but if you want to we can meet up."

to which lqg sits TF UP. he stares at the text, hesitates on asking who it is, and then just replies "needed a day off"

he gets a text shortly after with a silly sticker and then a casual "are you working tomorrow?"

after a few weeks of this (and lqg's coworkers badgering him) lqg finally works up the courage to write his number down on the napkin, but when he doesn't receive a text for one day....two....he feels like he really blew it. but on the day he's off, his phone suddenly gets a notification

but after that lqg pays more attention to sj. sj does...sneak glances at him sometimes. he also does avoid eye contact with him when he (sj) looks at every other barista. and, lqg might be a little conceited, but he SWEARS sj's face gets red when lqg catches him staring

ofc that time was the first time lqg had acknowledged that he knew sj, but ?????

"it's bc you're pretty" one of his coworkers says
"he probably thought you didn't know him, but he has a crush on you" another tries to convince him

but lqg doesn't really buy it???

lqg stares at the note. then at sj leaving the cafe, then at the note. and he's. So confused. bc every one of his coworkers recognize sj. they've even said hi and made friendly conversation before. So???? why?? why's it suddenly weird when he does it?

and later when sj's done with his tray, he brings it up to the front, but there's a napkin still on it. and lqg's. Kinda confused bc sj's one of those customers that FULLY clean after themselves. so he takes a peak on the napkin (and it's the one he previously wrote on) and it just says+

but like. maybe a month later, sj comes back and when he sees lqg, his face gets all red again and lqg feels really guilty, so he slips a small note apologizing for making him feel uncomfortable ect

and he doesn't stop by for like. weeks. lqg's coworkers tease him by saying "you scared him off" and lqg GENUINELY thinks so, bc he doesn't have the friendliest face and by gooodddddd maybe it IS creepy to remember a regular's orders????

one day, he comes in, obviously ready to order what he always orders but this time lqg blurts out "oat milk matcha latte with no extra sugar and 30% ice?" to which. sj just. stares at him. and slowly, his face goes red and he just awkwardly nods

he's so dainty when he eats--small bites with the absurdly tiny fork. whenever he's done, he'll always clean up the tray and the table before leaving and lqg and his coworkers are so enamored by their regular
