Then, might I suggest you start with Silent Hill Shattered Memories? It's a remake of the first game, and is instead a Run & Hide horror game, sorta like Outlast :3 It's wicked good!

Dang, you can't stomp babies in The Evil Within 2 like in Dead Space 2, never mind.

(Dead Space 2 is great, but it's so messed up XD Gameplay is basically a smoother DS1 tho!)

It's particularly GREAT!! Basically the perfect gameplay for a survival horror game, besides Outlast or Alien Isolation or somthn. It's got a wicked nightmarish vibe all throughout!

I LOVE those games, feels like not enough peeps talk about it! Love that kind of horror, visceral, BUT incredibly surreal. Creatures & locations don't need to make sense, as you're in the minds of total madmen.

Pyramid Head (or Red Pyramid) is absolutely one of the most visually distinct and terrifying enemies in gaming. Sure, he may not be as menacing as Nemesis, or sneaky as the Xenomorph, but the pure "otherness" in his design makes him a standout of horror quality! The perfect blend of human & inhuman~

I had the most enjoyment from Constance Garnett's translation, but that's just me liking things sounding vaguely Victorian :P That's the one I'd reccomend!

And, it's surprisingly easy to get into, compared to other Dostoevsky novels! It certainly helps, knowing it's wicked influential!
