In the music room children have enjoyed doing YMI, children have also used there creativity to make a giant clock and using there bodies to show the correct time, also enjoying using different animals to re enact the rhyme.

In the garden we have explored forces by flying our kites, finding autumnal objects, using mathematical language to explore measuring and making lots of yummy treats in the mud kitchen.

In the garden this week our learners have been continuing to explore mathematic language using transient art and Big and Small! Our leaners have been exploring their forces using their bodies and objects. We have also been developing our self help skills when putting on suits, wellies and jackets☔️😁

In the music room children have continued their interest in Hickory Dickery Dock, children have used their creativity to stand on the correct numbers of the clock and create there own mice to re enact the rhyme.

In the music room children have continued their interest in traditional nursery rhymes with a particular focus, this week, on Hickory Dickory Dock. Children have used their creativity to make their own clock and use these props to re-enact the rhyme.

In snack we are continuing to settle our new learners in and helping them establish snack routines. Learners are making their own choices around what they choose to eat, promoting independence. We’ve had some amazing helpers to chop our vegetables to make healthy soup.

We had our first book bug session today. We enjoyed singing about autumn and a lovely story about the ‘Leaf Thief’.
How exciting 🤩 listening to and watching an author read her new book. I wonder if a copy of the new book will arrive tomorrow 🤔
Today some of the children listened to the live stream of Julia Donaldson reading her wonderful new book, Paper Chase. This promoted discussion around how paper is made and all the ways we use paper everyday!

The learners in the garden have enjoyed going out on autumn walks. The children helped to find Conkers, Acorns, sticks and leaves. We then discussed the different shapes and sizes and what they could be used for. They also enjoyed making obstacle courses, working as a team to create there own. 😊🍂

The learners have continued to work on their self serving skills in snack.
With cosy season approaching, the children prepared vegetables for a pot of soup, using a variety of resources. They discussed the differences in shape, size and consistencies.

This week, learners in the garden have been using their gross motor and problem solving skills as well as their numeracy skills to take part in hopscotch. Learners have also been exploring the mud kitchen where they have been creating their own recipe cards 🪴☺️ #numeracyskills #mudkitchen

Also creating their own houses the learners used sphero to collect their small world figures that represented their families ☺️❤️
