Mostly Arsenal. More Knicks posts than Giants posts. Maybe a little markets/risk arb? I dunno, let’s see how it goes here

lol oh boy the political geniuses are being brilliant again
Is he meaning to threaten people - we will yank your paycheck if you go to the rally - or is he trying to imply the protesters are unemployed (with all the connotations that brings)? My read was more the latter but, well, Bessent doesn’t seem very good at the political grandstanding thing
I will admit my mind has been more focused on the here-and-now stuff - which of our new signings are actually good, how is the squad being used differently, how are we evolving tactically, etc. Scott’s model has our midpoint at 82 points and that feels about right to me as par?
Thinking one move ahead, I like it
But, for the patrons out there, this one is on the feeds now
Good news: you can listen to me on a podcast!

Better news: you actually can’t, unless you pay @arsenalvpodcast.bsky.social his five bucks a month!!

GIP aren’t exactly neophytes in infrastructure investing though. This is a shark-to-shark trade
On the advice of my attorney, I’m going to go down to the store and buy 300 bottles of baby oil
Oh yeah, he, ummm, definitely did not do that

New game plan, only pass the ball in the box to Mikel Merino’s head. I wanna test something.
I guess I’ve made enough jokes about Donald Trump’s weight that I’d be throwing stones from my glass house if I called this one out
So I could be misreading this but is this not a…kinda lighthearted joke? I’m almost proud of her, usually the right winger response to Mamdani is to froth at the mouth with rage
This is similar to the problem in places like greater NYC, where the only remaining places to build are far enough away from the city that the obvious solution is densification. It’s much harder because of displacement concerns and the need for infrastructure upgrades. But ya gotta do hard things!
And look, the goal is to make this group of speculators lose money. With the proper public policy conditions, other speculators (homebuilders) will show up and increase supply, which will lower prices towards the marginal cost of construction. Capitalism!
This argument presupposes that speculators acquire houses with the goal of leaving them unoccupied. But that’s incorrect. Speculators buy houses to rent them out.

There remains only one solution to the housing bubble - building more houses.
So the reason this argument is wrong is simple and obvious. It’s contained right here
