As we see with Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic: we have pumped over 100 billion euros to them, we have transplanted entire industries to those countries (eg. Automotive industry in Hungary) and what good has come from it? They all voted in Russian puppets....
Don't be so f...king stupid. No more enlargement for as long as the EU fails to deal effectively with member states that thrash the rule of law, destroy the independent judiciary and the free press. We have already too many Russian puppets and Chinese Trojan horses at our table.
You know, we are not all toddlers. We do understand that in a challenging geopolitical environment we also have to deal with unsavory characters. But please, do not insult our intelligence by pretending that those 5 billion have anything to do with a "reform agenda".
The "simpler" rules on transparency in the supply chain are simply intended to allow companies to continue to destroy ecohabitats and profit from slave and child labor by feigning ignorance of subcontractor practices.
