You already do.

Your aura is absolutely blindly shimmering and I'm sure IRL the whole of you does as well.

Oh most excellent, straddling the threat/safety line nicely.

My dreams are more complicated:

A contact probe/end that would fry all the processors of a car it touched, and scratch the paint down to the base😈

Kindness to the more vulnerable is the most human, admirable approach.
Making it safer is wiser than making it a potential weapon against drivers. You are to be commended for that! (not that it should need commending to be caring and considerate of others, but *waves hand around* life as a cyclist)

I've always wanted to put a sharp scratchy thing on the end of the flag, make it a distinctive penalty for not giving space...

Side-comment:

it was SOO good, unfortunately I only managed to use it once while installed.

That neighborhood is so blind/opposed to making their live better.

Maybe Have someone on hand you can call to stream it for you to listen.

I do wish they release it on one of the music streaming platforms.

It was on utoob initially after airing for a while, when it went away from there I freaked out...

This is one of those performances that's as close to perfection as it gets and Maya Rudolph's back up vocals *swoon*

There was a photo of me racing Sunday!

The race before the rain while it was still dusty.

ripples on the river making abstract patterns

colors were nudged and tweaked to make them more dramatic than the were shot with because I wanted to and felt like it - I actually like the black and white version of this too, more to do with the pattern and texture than anything else.

Playing with settings after a weekend with some serious frustration.

Thinking maybe I need to just go with M and balance in post and pick a spot with more consistent lighting to photograph the race from.
(TAv has failed me in both spot and matrix mode)

So I took photos of #birds
📷 Pentax K1 mkii
focus point was on the bird all the way on the right but the movement of everything on the left was unexpected and I like the motion capture. two cold doves on a power line on a cool wet windy day

display meter in the viewfinder was all the way left (dark/underexposed) but not with the '-' (saying too under).

quick histogram/levels slider adjustment and boost of the shadows and a noise filter and it looks as good and equal to the properly exposed one.

I'm frustrated by my consistent fucking things up, but at the same time in awe of those who make it all look easy.

oh and there's some dust that showed up. Actually peeked at the sensor, looks clear, final lens element had a bunch of dust on it, dry cleaned that all off. THat's as far as I'm going to cleaning right now.

SO MUCH PRESSURE for next weekend to deliver on photos. It was a lot easier when I was just doing it and not having an expectation of past greatness that I have no idea how i managed. Oh right, i was just shooting black and white. easier when there's only one camera to use

Many years ago, before I discovered Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires I accumulated punctured tubes and then batch patched them. Worked great until I ran out of glue and used one of two of the glueless to finish. Not good.

Good for quick road side patching though.
gewilli.bsky.social
Wait what?

Also about those. Great for road side fixes. Slap them on, inflate and go.

Patching a tube and not using it right away is close to 100% failure rate using park glueless patches.
gewilli.bsky.social
Can confirm, Yes they do, I have a few done up with them.
gewilli.bsky.social
Oh, yeah.... That 😁
gewilli.bsky.social
pair of side cutters is often enough, but if you don't have one of those folding replaceable razor blade utility knived it's a good excuse to get one, they have a million and one uses.
gewilli.bsky.social
Cut it clean and just about flush.

My long term experience is only with dyna plugs (one big squishy plug not these bacon things.)

But the casing should hold it in place and the sealant will make it semi-permanent on the inside.
gewilli.bsky.social
Yes, and yes. Windex, isoP, soapy water. Clean the sealant off and any coating on the inside. Sand it a little if using vulcanizing (patch glue or rubber cement).
gewilli.bsky.social
No. Not flexible enough. Plain old rubber cement should work.

Plugs are surprisingly long term once in. The sealant tends to keep them sealed very well. Esp if you trim the outside neatly
gewilli.bsky.social
I've had lots of success patching using a section of old tube and tubular mastik. Apply to both patch and tire, let dry then press together. Rubber cement probably can work too, or glued patch kit stuff.

Untold number of my tires have these. (Obvs clean tire really well before applying)
gewilli.bsky.social
Larger holes can be patched. The boots tend not to stick well enough for a permanent solution.

The largest cuts are best sewn shut with floss or other thin strong thread, and then patched as a tube would from the inside.
gewilli.bsky.social
How old school? MTB or CX?
gewilli.bsky.social
That was a lot. I might not be winning races but I'm showing up still, and doing my best.

Bike racing is hard. Cyclocross is hard and fun.
