📌 📌Gestaltzerfall = Shape Decomposition

Heya, I'm a freelance artist dreaming to become an in-house artist. Content varies as I learn the skills necessary to actualize that goal.

In the meantime I'm generally open for commissions at gestaltzerfall.carrd.co (or see thread)
Have fun! I think with worldbuilding there's always a risk of overthinking and building it, working on bg stories that never show up anywhere. These days I just always start in medias res and work my way backwards. There's more, but until it touches on the immediate story it's just gonna be vibes
The visitors had come and gone. Their battlefield stretched from Jupiter to Neptune, a distant Kesslerian grave filled with artifacts. A salvagers feast, the swedish industrial consortium CHI rose to prominence as it provided propellant for the long trek out via the exploitation of lunar resources.
Absolutely nothing wrong with having tens of specialists and experts in the ship to make sure things run

It's more that a lot of stories have the "I invented X / am project lead of" person join the crew... rather than just someone who is an expert in gizmology but didn't literally invent the gizmo.
Scifi stories are great because they always send the gizmo-expert along on the mission.

Imagine if Oppenheimer had to personally fly the Enola Gay to make sure "the technology works" because "he is the foremost expert in the gizmo field"
Oh man, is it friday already? How time flies.

I decided I want to update my portfolio, so that's a big project which takes a lot of time. I usually sneak in my own worldbuilding, because why not, when I already do all this work.

Here's a little WIP for the characters I'll need to illustrate.

of my Lancer character "Ishmael", pilot of the Ford (IPS-N) "One for The Road" (Now with the image actually showing)
I included the sketching in the timelapse this time. But its mostly more stylized painting practice. I think I'm almost there with painting faces.

Brooke repairing her Bandvagn in a Swedish forest 💪
Feels good drawing her in military gear again ;w;
The 2000s are going to experience the same thing classical art did. Everything pre covid will be "90s" eventually.

Just like all oil paintings are "renaissance"

Getting the eyes to read well while in shadow was quite tricky on this one. Played around with using saturation a lot more than I thought I would
I think the handgun was the trickiest on this one. Should have taken the time to solve it during sketching instead of during the painting stage.
I also got the timelapses, here in order of creation. So you can see I got a lot more efficient as I dialed in on the final look.
A few recent stylized #lancerttrpg pilot comms.

It's always fun and super rewarding to be given the trust to just shoot into a general direction with regards to stylization and land exactly where they hoped it would land.

Bsky is build on an open platform, you can easily see who blocked who, on which lists you are on, and every like a user made. All of it with time codes too.

Bookmarks are new, so I'm pretty sure that once the access tools are updated you can see all users bookmarks too.
This was the last jucika? Oh wow, bless you Pusztai Pál.
