Lobo basketball: How quickly fans forget preseason struggles of past years
New Lobo players, coaches ecstatic about fan turnout, even in lightly-attended exhibition win.

This was worse. They looked much better in the loss in Pullman than in the win vs. NAU.

Good shots, but lots of misses in Pullman. Average to bad shot selection tonight.

I think there was some Pit performance pressure on them tonight -- something past players have mentioned on occassion.

Air Force doesn't recruit "properly" I guess. They have 3 ex-players starting for other DI teams right now that all left and one guy who stayed is now in the G-League (Ethan Taylor).

Also, Navy may be Patriot preseason favorite, but they're ranked lower than 11 of 12 MW teams. All relative.
The Patriot League isn't close to the Mountain West in any metric.

Also, as the story I'm sure you read noted, this is all about the service academies not allowing transfers in, only transfers out in an era where college transfers are recruited more than HS players in mid and high major leagues.

Most years the exhibitions are part of the season ticket package so they're full price. Not sure why last year's UTEP game wasn't.
Will Klein = World Series hero

But he couldn't figure out the Albuquerque Isotopes this season. He had 8 appearances vs. the Topes, including six in Isotopes Park. He had 3 appearances while with Tacoma and 5 appearances while with OKC.

So, I made a little graphic.
In Episode 119 of the Talking Grammer podcast, I catch up with Mountain West Commissioner Gloria Nevarez at the 2025-26 men's basketball media day event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

To the person who parked next to me at Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho today, all I can say is I admire the dedication.

I took pictures instead of touching it because I didn't want to leave any ............ prints.
13 home games in 13 days like the @ABQTopes are about to play are a lot, but it's not their record.
