My fears that Disney will run right over Filoni once Kennedy leaves have only been amplified by this latest story about how Kennedy had greenlit THe Hunt For Ben Solo and Iger let Bergman kill it over some petty dumbassery.

I'm much more excited for Starfighter than Mando. But I'll see both. Though, the one I'm most excited about is the Rey movie.

Mostly because they gerrymandered more, so they have aligned the voters to work in their favor when it comes to districts. Plus, they are much better at fearmongering, triggering people into voting against their best interests to "protect" some imaginary reality.

I think Disney is scared of putting out content they feel isn't going to draw in the general public. I think that's why Mando & Grogu is going first (known new properties) and Starfighter (can promote it as the director of Deadpool with a big-name actor attached).

At best, it would be in the second Rey movie since Rey's first movie would probably be out before they could even start shooting the Ben movie. So, possibly they would introduce the idea in Rey's first movie, setting up the actual "hunt for Ben Solo" in the second.

Not to inject too much hope into the Reylo community, but I do wonder if Disney's rejection of the Ben Solo movie coincides with Lucasfilm's decision to get a different writer to take a crack at the Rey movie once they decided to incorporate some new elements.

I am not confused about who he is. I was talking about the point that was made about how it's not possible that someone would wait to remove a tattoo that horrified them. I am not this dude's supporter. In fact, I think it's pretty embarrassing that he wasn't vetted better.

I know someone who only recently got a tattoo removed that they hated for 30 years. People don't do a lot of things they should do.

They essentially respected/feared her due to her power in the industry. You don't cut her. But if Filoni takes over, he will get run right over by Disney the second they don't like some idea he has.

There is always someone out there CONFIDENTLY claiming something won't work because... reasons. Except this is all made up. They can make it up however they want it to work. Not to mention, there is still Lucas' original Netherworld idea they still haven't touched.

They can always seed it in any project. Hell, Anakin is probably going to appear in Ahsoka season 2. TWBW exists in all of time, so there is no reason why Anakin couldn't have met a Ben Solo from the future who is "lost." One line is all you need.

I think they're just going to fit it into something else. Perhaps even Rey's movie. Or they'll introduce the idea of it in her movie, then set up the "search for Ben Solo" in the second movie. But it's coming one way or another.

The takeaway people should have about the Ben Solo movie is that Lucasfilm has every desire to do more with the character. So, Disney may have shot down that idea, but Lucasfilm just has to use it in something else & make it work there. This is what I've preached for 5+ years to the Reylo fandom.
