Reds LF Austin Hays (bone bruise, foot) heads today to Double-A Chattanooga, where he is to DH for the Lookouts Tuesday and play in the OF Wednesday.

Then to be re-evaluated during Reds' off day Thursday for possible activation from IL.

Source: RHP Connor Phillips, who hasn't pitched the majors since 5-start debut in 2023, is joining Reds in St. Louis Friday.

Corresponding move is not immediately clear.

Phillips has 3.06 ERA in 17 appearances across two minor-league stops this season.
