Mega Man Animated Series Blu-Ray Preorders Discounted At Amazon
Mega Man: The Complete Series (Blu-ray)
$38 (was $50) Preorder at Amazon Preorder at Crunchyroll
The '90s animated series based on Capcom's beloved Mega Man franchise is finally coming to Blu-ray later this month. Mega Man: The Complete Series joins Discotek's lineup of standard definition Blu-rays on October 28. This is great news for fans of charming cartoon, as the 2014 DVD edition has been out of print for years and sells for high prices these days. Mega Man fans can preorder the new Blu-ray edition for $38 at Amazon or $40 at Crunchyroll.
If you already preordered at Amazon for the full $50 MSRP, your order total will automatically be adjusted to reflect the discount--and any future discounts, should it drop lower, Amazon offers prior to launch.
Mega Man: The Complete Series (Blu-ray)
$38 (was $50)
Mega Man: The Complete Series includes all 27 episodes from the show's two-season run (1994-96). It's worth emphasizing that while this is a Blu-ray disc, the series is presented in standard definition with the original broadcast aspect ratio of 4:3.
Bonus materials include an interesting mix of archival content, TV commercials, and new features like select commentary tracks from Mega Man's US voice actor, Ian James Corlett.
The total runtime for Mega Man: The Complete Series on Blu-ray is 10 hours and 50 minutes. Preorder at Amazon Preorder at Crunchyroll
Mega Man: The Complete Series Blu-ray Special Features
* Mega Man original pilot pitch
* Scans of the original press kit
* TV commercial
* Toy commercial
* Art galleries
* Series bible
* All-new commentary from Mega Man voice actor Ian James Corlett
Like other animated series of the time, Mega Man is a lighthearted cartoon with plenty of silliness. Even though it's a family-friendly show, it still has plenty of action, and the show accurately recreates the main plot of games from the time. Mega Man regularly battles Dr. Wily's mechanized forces, and episodes regularly introduce new Robot Masters. This show was a joint effort between Ruby-Spears Productions and Ashi Productions, and while the episodes are still presented in standard definition, they should still look great, as the slick animation style has held up well.Continue Reading at GameSpot

How Limp Bizkit Ended Up Working On Battlefield 6
The Battlefield 6 official soundtrack features Limp Bizkit, and while the collaboration might seem natural given the game series is known for "breaking stuff" and Limp Bizkit has a song called "Break Stuff," the partnership wasn't planned from the onset. Henry Jackman, who scored Battlefield 6, said in an interview with Hollywood Records that he was nearly finished with the Battlefield 6 OST before wondering if a collaboration with a rock group might benefit the game.
"There is definitely a bit of a rock thing going on," he said, referring to Battlefield's iconic theme. "Would it be completely crazy... is there any mileage in trying to think of some crazy collaboration with a band... that's obviously got serious rock credentials?"
A partnership would also require a group to be "creatively humble enough" to work on a collaborative project that is outside their wheelhouse. So Jackman thought, "What about Limp Bizkit?"Continue Reading at GameSpot

The Outlast Trials Adds PvP Soon And It's Terrifying
The Outlast Trials has long been one of the best horror games to play, but in its next update, it's going to get even scarier. Coming in a patch on October 21, Invasion mode is adding an optional PvP mode to the game for the first time, and the way developer Red Barrels has designed it adds a ton of horror and paranoia to the experience.
As devoted players already know, the normally PvE co-op horror game can be disrupted by "impostors," NPC characters who appear on the map as violent doppelgangers. These impostors are caught somewhat easily by their tell-tale laughs--they don't easily fool experienced players, though their behaviors have grown more sophisticated since the game first launched. But Invasion mode is about to overhaul that element in a major way.
During Invasion rounds, an enemy team of up to four players can join a game as impostors, taking turns infiltrating the round while disguised as players on the other team and armed with a kitchen knife. When waiting to spawn in, impostors can spy on the other team using security cameras, while those players can break the cameras as a counter.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Disney Dreamlight Valley Teases Cinderella, New Dreamteam Multiplayer Feature, And 2026 Updates
In today's Disney Dreamlight Valley showcase, Gameloft revealed 2025's final free update--which includes a fan-favorite princess--is set to launch on December 10, while also teasing what's to come in 2026 with an all-new roadmap.
After years of waiting, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will finally get an opportunity to befriend what is arguably the most popular Disney princess. The Winter Ball, the game's final free content update for 2025, brings with it a new storyline that asks players to work with the Fairy Godmother on a quest to bring Cinderella back to the valley.
Though some may be happy just getting to hang out with Cinderella after all this time, that's not all that's in store for this enchanting update. The Winter Ball is also introducing a new multiplayer feature called Dreamteams. With Dreamteams, players can join a group of up to seven other friends to form a community that can share resources to work together toward various tasks, while also sharing photos and updates with one another. Dreamteams will be able to choose a name, motto, and icon to set a tone for their community, giving folks an incentive to find the right group for their vibe.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Disney Dreamlight Valley Wishblossom Ranch DLC Adds Rideable Horses And More
In a new Disney Dreamlight Valley showcase, Gameloft has shared new info on the cozy game's upcoming Wishblossom Ranch expansion, which introduces a selection of new characters, biomes, and gameplay features when it launches on November 19. Oh, and there are a lot of horses.
Today's Disney Dreamlight Valley showcase gave players a glimpse at the story they can expect to experience in the Wishblossom Ranch expansion, revealing that Cruella de Vil has taken control of the ranch and brought it to ruins with her villainy. At the same time, a giant flower beneath Wishblossom Ranch has been disturbed, causing wish magic to run rampant through the biomes. This expansion's tale will revolve around solving the mystery of the wish magic, as well as finding all of the missing horses that once inhabited the ranch and rebuilding it to its former glory.
Cruella de Vil isn't the only new villager coming in the expansion, though, as players will also get to befriend Tigger, Snow White, and Tinkerbell. They'll encounter these beloved Disney characters while exploring the expansion's new biome: the snow-covered Wishing Alps, Cruella-inspired Glamour Gulch, and oversized fauna-filled Pixie Acres. And as usual, each of these biomes features new critters to meet and feed, including geese, skunks, and adorable little bees.Continue Reading at GameSpot

At Least One Dev Hopes GTA 6 Is $100
Nearly two years ago, Rockstar Games shared the first look at Grand Theft Auto 6, one of the most highly anticipated titles in the history of the video game industry. Since then, numerous analysts and gaming industry figures have speculated or openly wished for the game to be sold for $100 in order for other AAA games to reach the same price. Now, Saints Row design director Chris Stockman has shared his wish for GTA 6 to be $100 as well, but not for the same reason as some of his peers.
"They're the only ones that can get away with it," said Stockman during an interview with Esports Insider (via Insider Gaming). "I don't think it's a rising tide that floats all boats. I think that [there will] be a tremendous amount of backlash if everyone switched to $100. Not all games are created equal. I think GTA is the only one that can get away with it, and I hope they do. I really hope it’s $100. I think it deserves to be $100. The scope and magnitude of this production deserves that price tag, but not everything is treated equally. It would be a disaster if everyone tried to match them."
Earlier this year, Wedbush Securities argued that selling GTA 6 at $100 could benefit players by giving them a massive amount of in-game currency for GTA Online. Alinea Analytics' Rhys Elliott disagreed and said it was a bad idea because GTA Online is the real cash cow of the franchise. Elliott also cited the rising cost of living as a primary reason not to charge players a higher price than the industry standard. Most of the newer AAA games are now going for $70.Continue Reading at GameSpot

EA's Saudi Deal Draws Scrutiny From US Senators Over "Foreign Influence"
Late last month, Electronic Arts confirmed that it had struck a $55 billion deal to go private under new ownership including Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, Jared Kushner's Affinity Partners, and the private equity firm Silver Lake. There are a lot of unanswered questions about what this means for EA and the industry at large, but now two US Senators are raising the potential "foreign influence" Saudi Arabia could enact with EA under its control.
Senators Richard Blumenthal and Elizabeth Warren--both of whom are Democrats--co-authored a letter to EA CEO Andrew Wilson and Department of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent about whether Saudi Arabia will take over EA's editorial independence if the deal is approved. As reported by 404 Media, they also suggested that Saudi Arabia's ownership may rise to the level of a "national security" risk.
"The deal's potential to expand and strengthen Saudi foreign influence in the United States is compounded by the national security risks raised by the Saudi government's access to and unchecked influence over the sensitive personal information collected from EA's millions of users, its development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, and the company's product design and direction."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Battlefield 6: Here's A Play You Need To See To Believe
Battlefield 6 is marketed as a game that has "only in Battlefield" moments, and while that's a marketing hype line, sometimes it's also true. That's certainly the case in new clip posted by Rebs Gaming.
In the sequence, the Battlefield 6 player XxOsiris187xX ejects from a jet high above the battlefield and just as they go to open their parachute, another jet appears below them. The player lands on this jet, walks to the front, dome-shots the pilot, and then gets into the hijacked jet to make a getaway. It's seriously impressive stuff that you need to see to believe--take a look for yourself in the clip below.

The Outer Worlds 2 Moon Man Plushie Could Be Your Friend Or Kill You In Your Sleep
The Outer Worlds 2 is two weeks away, and Mircosoft and developer Obsidian are keeping up the hype by introducing the Moon Man as a Couch-Panion. This is a joke, and yet it's very real at the same time, as seen in the video below.
"This isn't just merch," reads the description on Xbox Wire. "This isn't just a plush. This is a lifestyle choice. A statement piece. A co-pilot for every late-night quest and awkward snack run. It's satire you can hug--and proof that The Outer Worlds 2 lives beyond the game."
The Moon Man Couch-Panion is three feet tall and includes a popcorn bucket holder in its head, weird stress-ball squishy hands, and straps designed to hold a TV remote and an Xbox Wireless Controller. It's also got a creepy face that only a nightmare could love. And while these Couch-Panions aren't going to heading to stores, fans will get their chance to win one.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Bleach Returns In 2026 With A New Action-RPG Adventure
Bleach fans can look forward to a second video game based on the popular manga and anime series, as Crunchyroll has announced Bleach: Soul Resonance. This new dive into the franchise is an action-RPG that features the Bleach cast as playable characters and combat where you directly control their blades. It'll be launching later this year for iOS and Android mobile devices.
Developer Nuverse says that the game will feature "innovative" swordplay, as players can wield their blades against enemies by moving their fingers across the screen. Wherever your finger goes, the blade follows, and the developer says that each Zanpakuto sword has a unique feel to its design, just like the weapons seen in the anime. Switching between characters will also allow players to pull off powerful combos, and creating a versatile lineup to make the most of character synergies is another key gameplay element.
So far, it looks like the roster will include all the characters you'd expect from a Bleach game--from protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki to Soul Society captains like Byakuya Kuchiki and Kenpachi Zaraki--and pre-registration is now open for Bleach: Soul Resonance. If you'd prefer to play a game set in that universe of Soul Reapers and Hollows, you can grab Bleach: Rebirth of Souls on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 right now. The fighting game released earlier this year, and unlike your typical 3D arena-fighter anime game, this one features a layered and complex gameplay system that's built around momentum and last-minute comebacks.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Yes, Battlefield 6's Hit Registration Is All Over The Place
If you've been playing Battlefield 6 and wondering why some of your pinpoint shots don't seem to be connecting with enemies, you're not the only one. Since the game's launch on October 10, numerous players have been sharing clips and stories of the bug costing them gunfights online.
As reported by PC Gamer, what players are experiencing is an exceptionally gnarly bug related to the bloom on weapons in Battlefield 6. The mechanic, which increases the spread of bullets and reduces player accuracy the longer they're firing, seems to be affecting players regardless of how long they've been firing and the range at which they're engaging with enemies.
As a result, many players are losing fights they shouldn't be and getting inconsistent visual feedback--often showing enemies bleeding without hit markers--while firing on enemies.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Battlefield 6 Will Patch Out "Ladder Launching" And Ruin Your Fun
The war-torn sandboxes of any Battlefield multiplayer mode are primed for absurd and physics-defying moments, but an exploit in the newly released Battlefield 6 that lets you bounce off of ladders is in the crosshairs of the game's developers.
Assault-class players can equip a ladder in one of their gadget slots, giving them and their squadmates easier ways to traverse vertically to higher ground. But the ladder has some quirks with its physics, and players have found themselves bouncing off this piece of equipment when trying to climb.
As with any bug, people began experimenting to find ways to exploit it, leading to many gameplay clips online showcasing players "ladder launching" themselves airborne. It doesn't appear to be a particularly useful strategy at the moment, and players hoping to hone this technique probably won't get to use it in the long term.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Some Of The Best Shoot-'Em-Ups Of All Time Are Getting Removed From Steam
The shoot-'em-up legends at Psikyo delivered some of the genre's best games prior to shutting their doors more than 20 years ago. If you haven't played any Psikyo games yet and you're on PC, you'd be wise to purchase them soon, as they're being delisted from Steam at the end of October.
Due to a license expiring, following October 31, the following Psikyo games will no longer be available on Steam:

Battlefield 6 Conquest Matches Are Speeding Up

The developer said its data showed that "many rounds" were concluding by time limit as opposed to when one team ran out of tickets, which is why it's making these new changes. The developer also pledged to continue looking at feedback and data to sure match flow "feels right."

Skyrim Lead Designer Reacts To Game's Enduring Appeal: "What The Hell?"
Released in 2011, Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was a success at launch and continued to grow in popularity over the years. It's now sold more than 60 million copies and ranks as the No. 8 best-selling game in history. Why has the game had such enduring appeal? Lead designer Bruce Nesmith said on the FRVR Podcast that the game's open-world design was done in a way that "nobody had ever done before" and that only "very few" games have tried to do since.
"By all rights, a year later, some other game should have eclipsed it. And then two years later, three years later, five, 10. It's like, 'What the hell is going on here?'" he said, as reported by IGN.
Nesmith, who has since left Bethesda, said he remembers when Bethesda boss Todd Howard--who directed Skyrim--would host in meetings in which he would tell staff about how wildly popular the game continued to be some 10 years after launch.Continue Reading at GameSpot

This week, Activision is launching Overwatch 2 Season 19: Haunted Masquerade, the latest Halloween-themed event for the franchise. This year, Haunted Masquerade is introducing magical masks of their allied heroes that give the characters special buffs and powers. Rockstar Fans Pay Tribute To The Late D'Angelo, The Artist Behind RDR2's Best Song
D'Angelo, the voice behind one of Red Dead Redemption 2's most memorable moments, has passed away. While tributes pour in from the music industry, D'Angelo is also being remembered by Rockstar Games and the legions of gamers who will never forget his contribution to the RDR2 soundtrack.
D'Angelo was a pioneer in the neo-soul movement, releasing three studio albums throughout his career--his 1995 debut Brown Sugar, Voodoo in 2000, and Black Messiah, which was released in 2014 after a long break. Gamers might be more familiar with his later single Unshaken, which was recorded for the Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack.

A big fan of the original Red Dead Redemption, D'Angelo ended up playtesting the sequel while it was still in development, after he reached out to a contact at Rockstar. F2P Shooter Rules Of Engagement: The Grey State Takes Players Into The Horrorverse
Tencent Games and developer Grey State Studio aren't sending players to Hell in their upcoming game, Rules of Engagement: The Grey State. But this free-to-play tactical-horror action-RPG shooter might be Hell-adjacent, thanks to a nightmarish realm filled with monsters and other unspeakable creatures.
The Grey State is the name of an unstable dimension that's too dangerous for humanity, but it also contains alien artifacts that are invaluable.
