All of this hurts me in ways I don’t have words for. And I was not naive about this place.

I am torn. I know we have the right to exist in this nation and to lay claim to it…

…but I also feel deeply that it DOES NOT DESERVE US/OUR GREATNESS and I don’t know what to do with that.

And don’t get me wrong - tons of our reps need to step down!

Beyond that - they should have been cultivating leadership in their state/district instead of building machines to insure reelection!

And the Senate gives preferences to those who’ve been there a long time, that also needs to change.

And yeah, people’s relationship to power is a problem and needs to be called out as such.

LOTS of folks need to focus on passing the torch, not just the straight-up elderly. And I think we also gotta acknowledge when the old heads saved our asses.

And folks can focus on what they want, but I know I’d rather have elder Asaata Shakur leadership than a young Charlie Kirk or Stephen Miller.

Multi/intergenerational leadership is my thing. Lifting up youth or age alone ain’t.💁🏽‍♀️

These old folks giving old folks a bad name! And we were reminded today that the young GOP is filled w/old-school hate, so…

There are old folks who are incapable of bullshit, I’d LOVE for them to be in the mix.
