Thanks to you, too, Rita.
It's not an easy task trying to read my manuscript as if for the first time – but necessary #womenwritersnet

You got there! Looks lovely x
Good advice, Rita. Thanks! #womenwritersnet
Just had a quick look at your substack. You've some great material on there!
A3 When I've a new book out, I put a lot of pressure on myself to try and get my work noticed. The pressure can be counterproductive as I can't measure whether any of those posts make a difference to the reach of my work. I understand your sense of overwhelm. #womenwritersnet
A3 It's always worth searching for an image to accompany a post. There are plenty of sites where copyright free images are available to download and use #womenwritersnet
Sounds like an excellent approach, Tia #womenwritersnet
Would a break from writing help? Could you concentrate on reading for a while? Perhaps just a day or two – it might build the stamina to face editing again. #womenwritersnet
A3 I often find typos after I've posted something and know I need to proofread more carefully. But when I'm going for spontaneity that's the price. #womenwritersnet.
Immersion in a novel can be a good thing! I'd willingly shut out the external if I could become fully engrossed in my current wip #womenwritersnet
A2, totally agree, Rita #womenwritersnet
A2 I seek out the accounts I knew on Twitter/X but otherwise it's a random search for likeminded #womenwriters,
A2 #womenwritersnet there's a good community of women writers through this network. Women writers tend to offer a lot of mutual support and this can be accessed through social media but it takes a lot of time to build up those connections.
Waving back #womenwritersnet
A1 I deleted my Twitter/X account – now you can find me on Bluesky. I'm also on Insta but I don't spend as much time on social media as I used to – my use simply dropped off about eighteen months ago.
