This is a step down from rage quitting. He wasn’t manic or anything. He was at the point where one would reload a video game…but couldn’t because there was a living opponent.

We were on turn 3 and things are now getting interesting when realized he was caught out and I had the field advantage.

Got into a funk and assumed he lost. Now his position wasn’t that great but who knows, the dice gods might have been with him. Or he could fight for a draw.
The term comes from pinball when one tilts the table.

I had to explain to a friend last night that “government shutdowns” never happen in Canada. If the govt fails a budget bill it’s considered a vote of no confidence and we go to elections. And general operations continue regardless.
