My PvP is from a custom piece of art made by the amazing developers of Stormbound (which you should try if you like digital card games!).

I used to stream it pretty heavily before my cancer diagnosis… to cheer me up, they made this hilarious depiction of me playing while watching with my two kids.

What the hell was that link in my last post??

So what are the state police doing at Broadview?
freeloadersb.bsky.social
As I’m reading, they LIMIT the ways in which state police can cooperate with federal authorities - specifically with immigration enforcement.
freeloadersb.bsky.social
Ok but this still doesn’t obligate state police to protect ICE facilities… so I fail to see how this supports your position?
freeloadersb.bsky.social
Oooh. I learned something today.

And the New Way Forward Act isn’t even law yet, so it has no bearing on what the governor can or cannot do:

Vicki…
The Trust Act has to do with immigration enforcement, not state protection of federal facilities.

Illinois State police are LIMITED in what they can do to help ICE by the Trust act, not obligated to stand guard outside ICE facilities.

One of us has posted several pieces of video evidence.

The other has now twice disparaged anti ICE protesters.

I’m comfortable with the side of the line I’m standing on. If that’s the mental gymnastics you’re willing to make to support your argument, I can tell we ain’t gonna see eye to eye.
freeloadersb.bsky.social
That’s a second video I’ve posted to your replies, filmed 1 day apart.

Again, the ask is: STOP using the State Police to protect the ICE facility and instead use them to protect your citizenry.

Saturday night suppression by Illinois State Police near Broadview ICE facility
unraveledpress.com
Troopers just violently attacked protesters, tackled several, several arrests, shoving activists and press with batons.
freeloadersb.bsky.social
I’m so happy for you!

It must be nice to have your support on this platform… a real boost to have you out here casting dispersions on the ICE protestors.

*like us respect her.

And I do like JB as well… but he can do more, especially when it comes to his state police.

This Supreme Court case in Louisiana is about one thing, and one thing only: reinstituting Jim Crow by way of ensuring that Black Americans are taxed without receiving representation in Congress.

Everything else is noise and bluster.

This stolen Supreme Court is going to send us back to the 1860s.

Two quick points, JD:

1: A lot of the people in the chat are in their 30s and 40s… so, maybe not kids.

2: Most of your teenage escapades might not be on the internet, but at least your fucking of a sofa has gone viral.
atrupar.com
JD Vance dismisses Young Republicans who in a group chat said "I love Hitler" and joked about slavery and rape as "a bunch of kids" who "told stupid jokes" and adds that "most of the stupid things I did when I was a teenager and young adult, they're not on the internet."

They started failing us a long long time ago, but it’s becoming plainer and impossible to ignore.

ICE arrested comedian Robby Roadsteamer for singing a parody of Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” in a Jeffrey Epstein the Giraffe costume outside their facility.

He sings “If you hate brown people / and you are a Nazi” and ICE thugs grab him and drag him into detention. No violence—just speech.

Old, old statute in Portland.

It’s illegal for giraffes to sing.

It’s also illegal for elephants to drive, but remember: if you see something, say nothing.

Dismantle SCOTUS.
Abolish ICE.
Rebuild the Constitution.

The fight here with Gorsuch and Kav vs Nelson is whether the "use" of race automatically means "discrimination" on the basis of race.

That's interesting to me, because it's basically the white folks telling on themselves. They cannot see a "use" of race that isn't synonymous with discrimination.

This entire argument by Louisiana and the conservatives questions are premised on an erasure of Congress’ enforcement power under the 14th & 15th Amendments.

Literally swinging for the fences to wipe out the premise for the legitimacy of Congress’ power to enact civil rights statutes.

Locking in for oral arguments on the big voting rights case at the Supreme Court.

The next two hours or so will be... incredibly bad.
