There are laws about how to interdict suspected criminals on the high seas.

There are laws about how to renovate federal buildings.

There are laws about how not to monetize the presidency.

There are laws. We should enforce them. And not normalize the flagrant violation of them in the newspapers.

It is incredibly difficult to get folks to understand that there are literally 20-30 people in DC who could end all of this tomorrow, & all of them are Republicans in Congress, & no one in the National Conversation seems interested in paying attention to that.

Norms & duct tape. That's all the Republic has turned out to be, because the laws & the Constitution do not enforce themselves. There are about 30 people in Washington who can fix this. We should stop giving them free passes all day every day & laser-focus on getting them to do their damn jobs.

Trump has made a habit of extortion. Now he is extorting the US government itself—demanding that the Justice Department pay him $230 million.

And the Democratic Party of Maine can’t come up with someone to challenge her who doesn’t have a Nazi tattoo. It’s insane.

Chris Murphy: "There's a lot of history that has taken place in the East Wing & it was just destroyed without any conversation in the public, without any consent of Congress. It's absolutely illegal. That visual is powerful b/c you're watching destruction of the rule of law as those walls come down"
Yeah, well, they can fucking pay to restore it, too, when President Pritzker sends them the bill.

Which corporate entities paid for the demolition of the White House as a bribe to the felon Donald Trump? We need names.

No, he does it because he can’t stand the fact that he’s a convicted felon, and he can’t pardon himself for that case. So instead, he promotes the false narrative that the whole system is corrupt and everybody has been wrongly convicted and “treated horribly.”
Go knock on all the doors on your block and thank your neighbors for voting for the felon.
