A fabulous collection it took me a while to gather together all the LPs. I also bought the CD box set with its great booklet - very good value. The first 4 releases will be 50 years old this December!
Happy 80th Birthday Mr Bryan Ferry! One of the most creative & influential singer/songwriters of the rock world #BryanFerry
Very self indulgent (first half is okay to be fair)
All of these are worth getting apart from the one in the middle…
What page is this article on in the magazine today? It has Woody Allen on the cover and I can’t see it anywhere! This has happened before btw.
Hops are a little late this September and Walnuts are dropping very early! Nature‘s confused? #Hops #Walnuts
Superb concert by Nick Cave (with Colin Greenwood on bass) in Plovdiv Bulgaria last week at the amazing Roman Amphitheatre #NickCave #ColinGreenwood
Thank You & Cheers from the Elm Tree in Cambridge (yesterday).
Here’s his grave at St Katharine’s Church at Felton near where he lived at Lulsgate, Bristol. He was the first world championship driver to die, just a couple of months after the first race. He crashed while at the wheel of this Freikaiserwagen showing the family name Fry on the grill.
Will be indulging in a Belgian Trappist beer weekend to celebrate my birthday and the F1 at the magnificent Spa circuit! #Spa #Trappist
Tragic but understandable as this is a 14 mile long circuit. Do we know how far he travelled on the Nordschleife before his fateful mistake?
Out of the Blue is a stand out track. I suspect the drum roadie was worried that Paul Thompson would break all the heads/skins!
Selling our Heritage to those that don’t care for a quick profit and shareholder satisfaction. Where will it end?
Unsurprisingly he had engine issues in this 110 lap race. He also wrote this book on Olympic Coins!
There’s never a bad time to have a pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord but a sunny afternoon at the Swan in Needham Market is up there with the good times. #TimothyTaylor #Swan
Recorded 9th May 1975 Discreet Music is now 50 years old and probably represents the beginnings of ambient music as it’s known today. #BrianEno #DiscreetMusic
Lovely pint from Butcombe Brewery at the Vine, Market Deeping this weekend. Went back next day and the St Austell Proper Job was just as good & fresh. #ButcombeBrewery #StAustellBrewery
Playing a few of my favourite classic LPs this Easter #BrianEno #RobertWyatt #DavidBowie

Tony Benn was born 100 years ago today. A hero of mine, he was steeped in the English radical tradition while maintaining an internationalist outlook. As we struggle to defend democracy against those who seek to avoid accountability, his five questions to ask the powerful are worth remembering

Patriotic Millionaires: Brian Eno joined fellow multi-millionaires outside the Houses of Parliament this week to demand more tax from the government www.westminsterextra.co.uk/article/yes-...
Very strong album track, better than most chart hits at the time. Not only anchored firmly by Thompson but searing guitar solo & oboe chirping away gleefully!
For what it’s worth I just finished reading your “All I Want Is Out Of Here” book at lunchtime today & very good it is too! Recommended
Totally agree - same can be said of that other film with the same two male leads, The Banshees of Inisherin.
