Constant Reader, hesitant writer, insomniac & spectrum (not the piece of tech) person. On a dog walk with an audiobook. Horror novels hit the spot. I have a collection of unfinished side-projects.

Bluesky is Jack, smirking at David/X becoming the monster.
Absolutely.
The book I picked up afterwards just seemed completely lacking after that experience.
I've just finished reading 'Angel Down', by Daniel Kraus.
I'm completely blown away.
It's a work of high art; poetic, beautiful, grim, hopeful, & honest.
I thought the format would be problematic for me... but it melts into being exactly how it should be.
& that confuses me now that I've finished.
Yup.
Had that one.
Utterly brilliant.
I NEED MORE.
I can't pick it up ON Netflix.

Doesn't seem to be there (UK).q
You have a toad of a man for your nemesis.

Seek him out, confront him.

For there can be only one.

Unfortunately, you seem to have something in common with our odious MP Nigel Farage.
Please keep your cool. Mini hands doing the good work.
You're the light; he's the shade.
I'm trying to cast my mind back.
Was it Richard Laymon that had, shall we say, a thing for nipples being in pain.

And yes, this is a clunky post.
I'm on a lot of pain meds.
He's headed for great things.
Would love to see him on @talkscaredpod.bsky.social
Craig with Human Tenderloin and Tyler Jones with Burn the Plans struck some new nerves and bent old ones. Truly new ideas and delivery in their work.
A collection that took me by surprise.
A fan ever since.
(Not staking—just noticed the post by Ross Jeffery the other day, and came by to drop in a bit of support from a nobody who appreciates good quality work. Keep it up, fella.
Pre-ordered.

Very much looking forward to it.
@mrjamesob.bsky.social is my hero. (Don't ask me about my standards.)
And I fumbled my chat with him today.
Mind you, I did know the topic at hand.

Steve Kerr wore a Harvard basketball shirt after the Warriors’ win tonight: “Yes, this is me supporting Harvard. Way to go. Way to stand up to the bully.”
Decided to take a week off of horror.
She looked happier back then.
Positively grinning from ear to ear.
See you for a pint, down the Quuen Vic!
Anyone got a recommendation for A horror book with heart?
One that will make me cry at some point?
I need to have a good blub.
Most welcome.
I was truly in tears.
And if you have a noisy chihuahua...

Sorry to drop in like this.
But your 'A letter to the reader' at the end of American Rapture had me sobbing.
I loved your book, very much.
But trying to read this to my wife (as I felt I had to) when I'd finished, was so damn hard.
It's truly beautiful.
I'm liking American Rapture by CJ Leede.
(And it has a cool dog. Please don't kill it.)
Save the dogs of horror!
It's on this day of the year that ai am reminded of Christian Slater's most romantic line in a movie, when sending flowers to the one he loves:
"Love and kisses on all your pink parts."
It's a new movie with Jude Law.
Looks pretty intense.
