Who the fuck is Bret Easton Ellis? Wrong answers only.

Watched the first episode of "The Chair Company" and I feel like Tim Robinson doesn't work in long-form stories because I can't understand how he got through the part of life before we met him to wind up with a wife, children, and a high-paying job.

Nothing quite so "you had to be there" as the New French Extremity. And even then.

Oh no, Bret Easton Ellis, the most relevant man in the world, hates a thing.

Happy Columbo’s Day
Screenshot from Columbo. He his talking to his dog, which is sitting is the drivers seat of a car. “Okay, I’m gonna put you in charge. You take care of the car. You’re a responsible dog. When I get back, if the car’s okay, I’ll give you another cookie.” “If the car’s gone,” “I’ll give you another cookie anyway” “because I love you.”

I don't think there's right or wrong when it comes to horror and comedy especially. I didn't realize it had a 'gets on lists' kind of reputation now. When it came out it did well enough and got decent reviews but then evaporated from the public consciousness.

flmfrkcentral.bsky.social
Wait, what are we disagreeing on, then? Lol

Never give them what they want, David!

I can almost guarantee you have the 24p setting on on your 4K player. Go into the settings, turn it off, and the soapy look should go away immediately.

So good. Canadian TV shows it a lot at Christmas.

Haven't seen this in decades, but HEAVEN, Diane Keaton's first movie as a director, was a truly eccentric documentary about the possibility of an afterlife, with cinematography by Frederick Elmes and a score by Howard Shore.
