Reese hugged his dad close, wiping his tears away, just- clinging to him. He couldn’t get the words out. “It’s not fair what they did to you dad. Not fair that I couldn’t see you for 6 months.” Reese didn’t want to talk about his dad having been in jail. It scared him. “Don’t go away! Please!”

A small smile would flick upon his lips, amusement in his eyes. "Sure it is," he'd chuckle, taking the box with a raised brow. "Now I wonder what this could be?"

He'd raise a brow. "You're always full of surprises," he'd muse with a small chuckle. "Oh? And what would that be?"
