Fathom Ent. has debuted a year-in-advance special screening of the extraordinary revolutionary classic V for Vendetta, made by The Wachowskis and director James McTeigue. The re-release event will be held on November 5th, 2026 in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the movie (it was originally released in March 2006 but the date November 5th is part of the movie). V for Vendetta is one of my all-time favorite movies, an enlivening and inspiring experience, and one of The Wachowski Sisters' most exhilarating follow-ups to The Matrix just 7 years prior. In a near future British dystopian authoritarian society (similar to the one in America today), a shadowy freedom fighter, known only by the alias of "V", plots to overthrow the tyrannical government with the help of a young woman. Natalie Portman stars as Evey, and Hugo Weaving co-stars entirely under a Guy Fawkes mask in one his best performances ever as the enigmatic V. The cast includes Stephen Rea, Stephen Fry, John Hurt, Tim Pigott-Smith, Rupert Graves, & Roger Allam. "I just want to wake up in the morning & feel something." Allen Media Group has unveiled an official trailer for a movie called Sheepdog, a story about US veterans and their mental health struggles. This isn't the first film to deal with this topic, there's actually quite a few of them recently (and I will also recommend My Dead Friend Zoe). A decorated combat veteran is court ordered into treatment when an ex-convict shows up on his doorstep and explains he must work to put himself back together again. Shot on location in Western Massachusetts, Sheepdog is the first film that truly explores the physical & psychological repercussions of trauma, with a focus on Post Traumatic Growth (PTG). It is an uplifting original story, inspired by countless first-hand testimonials about recovery, redemption, and the journey of healing; themes that now mirror our post-pandemic zeitgeist. "You're not getting away with this..." Lionsgate has debute their trailer for a movie called Turbulence, an intense action thriller survival movie from Swiss filmmaker Claudio Fäh. He's known for making schlocky direct-to-video action movies and this definitely looks direct-to-VOD quality. Young married couple Zach & Emmy decide to take a hot air balloon trip across the Italian Dolomites to rekindle their relationship. When they and pilot Harry are joined by a third passenger, Julia, events unfold in ways in which they could never imagine 5000 meters (or ~16,400 feet) in the air. In this high-octane action thriller, what should have been the trip of a lifetime turns to disaster as the dark secrets harbored by the passengers are revealed & the wrath of nature is unleashed. With Hera Hilmar, Jeremy Irvine, Kelsey Grammer, Olga Kurylenko. Any guesses on what the "dark secret" will be? How will they get out of this safely? "Horror origami that skillfully folds into itself." WTF is going in this creepy cabin?! Neon has revealed the third & final official trailer for the next freaky horror from director Osgood Perkins titled Keeper - his third movie in two years. Keeper is releasing soon in November just after the October horror season (here's the other recent trailer). The eerie story follows a couple escaping out on a romantic weekend at a secluded cabin. When Malcolm suddenly returns to the city, Liz finds herself alone in the presence of an evil revealing the cabin's horrifying secrets. Starring Tatiana Maslany (also in The Monkey) and Rossif Sutherland, plus Tess Degenstein, Claire Friesen, Christin Park. This final trailer has even more reveals, but still makes it all a bit confusing and mysterious. What is this white face creature? What is happening and why? Is it supernatural? Or one deranged man? "We're helping a group of teenagers to invade our homeland... in a gentler way." Vertical has revealed the first official trailer for an indie film creation titled Atropia, marking the feature directorial debut of young filmmaker Hailey Benton Gates (aka just Hailey Gates). This premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, where it won the Grand Jury Prize in the US Dramatic Competition – although pretty much everyone thought it was a very strange win, as the film is not very good. When an aspiring actress working in a military role-playing facility falls in love with a soldier cast as an insurgent, their unsimulated emotions threaten to derail the performance. The film takes place within a fabricated fake nation created by the U.S. military to train soldiers before their deployment to the Middle East - it's called Atropia. The story is all over the place and doesn't come together in any coherent way. Atropia stars Alia Shawkat, Callum Turner, Zahra Alzubaidi, Tony Shawkat, Jane Levy, Tim Heidecker, Lola Kirke, & Chloe Sevigny. "I shouldn't be telling you this..." Whoa. Abramorama has revealed the first official trailer for an acclaimed documentary film titled Shuffle, made by filmmaker Benjamin Flaherty. This won the Grand Jury Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival earlier this year. Through his own personal story, a filmmaker's character-driven look inside the greedy, awful billion dollar addiction treatment industry where clients are bought & sold for their insurance policies, ushered into a system propelled by relapse rather than recovery. So infuriating and tragic. Insurance fraud everywhere! Always so bad, and not much is stopping it. Told through the lens of Flaherty's own recovery journey, the documentary film has garnered critical acclaim and multiple festival awards since its SXSW premiere. The film has earned rave reviews from critics: "81 damning minutes of tight filmmaking, great storytelling, & riveting investigation." The adventure continues! Arka Mediaworks has revealed the first epic teaser for Baahubali: The Eternal War, an animated spin-off series of movies currently in the works. Arka just re-released both of the original two Baahubali movies as one massive Baahubali: The Epic which just hit theaters around the world. After the cliffhanger that ended Baahubali: The Beginning, The Eternal War will follow the betrayed & murdered prince Amarendra Baahubali (voiced again by superstar Prabhas) into the afterlife. Heart aching for those he left behind, Amarendra Baahubali finds himself at the center of an ancient cosmic war between devas and asuras. As he navigates through the 14 realms of existence, he forges an unlikely alliance, confronts divine forces, and fights to restore balance to the cosmos. Ramya Krishna also reprises her role from the films, voicing Sivagami again. These new animated movies are presented by Baahubali's creator S.S. Blumhouse and Universal have debuted a second official trailer for horror sequel Five Nights at Freddy's 2, continuing the animatronic terror of the Fazbears. Opening in theaters nationwide in December at the end of this year. Blumhouse's box-office horror phenomenon Five Nights at Freddy's, the highest-grossing horror movie of 2023, begins a blood-chilling new chapter of animatronic terror. Based on Scott Cawthon’s hit video game series, Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is directed again by filmmaker Emma Tammi. The next one seems to continue right where the last left off, with Josh Hutcherson looking for his missing sister. A year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. When Abby sneaks out to reconnect with her friends Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, it will set into motion a terrifying series of events, revealing dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s, and unleashing a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades. "A comic tragedy of suspicion..." Cohen Media has posted their own official US trailer for a film called My Neighbor Adolf, an awkward comedy by filmmaker Leon Prudovsky. This film first premiered back in 2022 and already opened back then (here's the first trailer from years ago). But somehow it never got a US release all this time and has been sitting for 3 years waiting to finally open in the US. It's out in December, but only in one theater in NYC. Based on a true story, set in 1960s Colombia (not Argentina). Mr. Polsky is a lonely, grumpy Holocaust survivor who is now living in the remote countryside. He mostly spends his days playing chess & tending to his beloved rose bushes. However, when a mysterious old German man moves in next door he begins to suspect his new neighbor is... Adolf Hitler. Since nobody believes him, he embarks on a detective mission to find the evidence. In order to prove his suspicions, Mr. Polsky will need to be closer to his neighbor than he would like – so close they could almost become friends... Starring David Hayman as Polsky and Udo Kier as his new neighbor, along with Danharry Colorado and Olivia Silhavy. "I was thinking we could do some number-crunching tonight – if you're free." Vertical has revealed their official trailer for a financial thriller film called Bull Run, made by filmmaker Alfredo Barrios Jr. as his feature directorial debut. It premiered at a film festival last year and will be out to watch on VOD later this month. In banking terms, a "bull run" is a period of sustained upward price movement in a market, such as stocks or cryptocurrencies, driven by investor confidence and optimism. The film follows a young former hockey player turned "high finance" banker working in NYC. In the wilds of Wall Street, one junior banker discovers that the only thing more dangerous than billion-dollar deals are the men signing them. Starring Tom Blyth with Chris Diamantopoulos, Jay Mohr, Zach Villa, Jordyn Denning, Ashwin Gore, Helena Mattson, Trevor Gretzky, Troy Garity, Sam Daly, and Alyshia Ochse. The Network is yet another streaming platform entirely online - this one is entirely free and has nothing but original content. The Artist is a new series from the same director as The Green Veil. In the twilight of the Gilded Age, murder strikes the estate of an eccentric and failing tycoon. As he hosts the era's biggest celebrities including Thomas Edison, Edgar Degas, and Evelyn Nesbit – lies, mystery and ambition collide as the truth is shockingly revealed. By night's end, the mogul is found dead, igniting a historical murder mystery. This premiered at the 2025 Telluride & London Film Festivals this fall, and is expected to open in theaters starting in December during the middle of the awards season. H is for Hawk follows Helen, who, after the sudden death of her father, loses herself in the memories of their time birding & exploring the natural world together and turns the ancient art of falconry—rooted in European tradition—training a wild goshawk (more info) named Mabel to navigate her profound loss. But as she teaches Mabel to hunt & fly free, Helen discovers how deeply she has neglected her own emotions and life. And that she must learn to fly, too. Quiver Distribution has revealed an official trailer for a gritty desert noir thriller called Blood Star, made by filmmaker Lawrence Jacomelli as his first feature film. This premiered at a few genre film festivals in Europe last year and will be out on VOD later this month for anyone to watch. In this gritty desert noir, a petty thief driving through the New Mexico desert becomes the target of a psychopathic small-town sheriff who views his badge as a license to prey on vulnerable women. National Geographic has unveiled the official trailer for one of the best documentaries of 2025 - a film titled The Tale of Silyan, from acclaimed Macedonian filmmaker Tamara Kotevska, best know for her doc Honeyland from 2019. She filmed a farmer for years in a town in North Macedonia following him and his friendship with one of the local white storks. The story follows Nikola, who is unable to sell his land & crops. His family abandons him to look for a future abroad. Nikola gets a job at a landfill, where he comes across an injured white stork, Sylian. Nikola saves the bird, with the two forming a bond. Through folklore, striking images and intimate observation, Kotevska crafts a story about absence and resilience, and about the delicate thread that ties human survival to the natural world. It's a beautiful, stunning, amazing film about our connection with nature. My rave review from the Venice Film Festival is quoted in it: "a spectacularly cinematic creation it's almost completely unbelievable that it's actually a documentary and these are all real people and this is a real story." "Get ready, honey. Christy Martin's gonna knock you out!" 🥊 Christy has entered the ring and will kick your ass! Black Bear Pictures has debuted a second trailer for Christy, hitting theaters nationwide starting this weekend. It's definitely worth watching on the big screen! "What does it take to become a legend?" The sports movie tells the story of of Christy Martin, the most successful female boxer of the 1990s. The TIFF description: "Featuring a career-best performance from Sydney Sweeney, the latest from David Michôd (also of Animal Kingdom) chronicles groundbreaking boxer Christy Martin's fierce story of self-actualization in the face of terrifying adversity..." They continue: "Dealing with themes of misogyny, domestic violence, and sexual identity, the film does justice to Christy's journey by being frank about the obstacles she overcame." Not only does it feature a terrific performance from Sweeney, there's quite a few twists & turns in this story. Focus Features has unveiled a second trailer for the movie Song Sung Blue, a musical comedy based on a true story of a Neil Diamond cover duo rockin' the stage. Out in theaters at the end of the year just in time for Christmas. Directed by Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan, Footloose), this is a fictional adaptation of the documentary of the same name - about Lightning and Thunder, a Milwaukee husband and wife Neil Diamond tribute act, experience soaring success and devastating heartbreak in their musical journey together. Welcome back! Netflix has unveiled their fun first trailer for a continuation of the beloved Sesame Street series. They're labeling them as new episodes Volume 1 in Season 56 - a "freshly reimagined Sesame Street series featuring characters you love, fan-favorite segments, and new ways to play!" The first 4 episodes are already ready to watch starting next week on Netflix. The series has been airing on PBS ever since 1970, and has also been streaming with HBO since 2016 as well. But that's now moving over to Netflix with worldwide options in many languages. Sesame Street was created by Joan Ganz Cooney & Lloyd Morrisett, along with Jim Henson, and has been a wonderfully education show for many decades. The highly anticipated freshly reimagined Sesame Street debuts with a new season on Monday. Episodes will invite children to play along in new ways, bring viewers inside the world's most famous brownstone, and feature celebrity guests, original music, engaging animation, and, as always, lots of laughter. Disney+ has released an official trailer for a very cringe Christmas movie called A Very Jonas Christmas Movie, a holiday adventure comedy streaming later this month. They haven't really made any new Jonas Bros movies in a while, but here we go, reminding us they still exist. Three famous brothers race against time and face mounting challenges during a chaotic journey from London to New York, desperate to make it home in time for Christmas with their loved ones. "No one can stop him!" Criterion Channel has unveiled a brand new US trailer for the long-awaited release of the latest Wong Kar-Wai project – a streaming series called Blossoms Shanghai. Some may remember we posted trailers for this back in 2021 and 2022 before it debuted in China in 2023. It has taken the last two years for them to figure out how to get this streaming in the US as well, now it'll finally be available to watch in November this fall. The series features a grand total of 30 episodes! Also known as only Blossoms (繁花) for China. This is an adaptation of a 2012 novel of the same name from Jin Yucheng, telling the story of a young entrepreneur named Mr. Bao as he seeks wealth, status and romance set against a backdrop of China's 1990s economic boom. The story of a "self-made millionaire" in Shanghai during the 1990s, a young opportunist with a troubled past. Wong has said it is a "deeply personal venture as a return to his hometown of Shanghai," and he has been working on its script and development for five years." "I'm really looking forward to taking you down..." 🎩 Lionsgate has debuted a third official trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don't also known as Now You See Me 3. This is the third movie in the magician heist series that kicked off with NYSM in 2013 and continued with the first sequel in 2016. Ready to dazzle audiences in theaters nationwide starting in a few weeks. The original Four Horsemen (which turns into a group of 7 of them) return along with a new generation of young illusionists all performing mind-melding twists, turns, surprises, and magic unlike anything ever captured on film. This time the group goes after a world famous diamond seller who has been dealing with lots of dirty money. Now You See Me 3 stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, with Rosamund Pike, and Morgan Freeman. Director Ruben Fleischer "has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way." I'm surprised it took them 10 years to make this and bring everyone back to together, but it might be worth the wait. IFC Films has debuted the full official trailer for 100 Nights of Hero, a fantasy romance thriller from the filmmaker Julia Jackman as her second film so far (after Bonus Track). It's set to hit theaters starting in December - an impressive indie creation with some top notch fantasy world building. When her neglectful husband departs after placing a secret wager to test her fidelity, Cherry and her sharp-witted maid must fend off a dangerously seductive visitor: Manfred. The film is adapted from the hit graphic novel of the same name. Here's a better intro from that book to setup the storytelling concept: "In the tradition of The Arabian Nights, a beautifully illustrated tapestry of folk tales and myths about the secret legacy of female storytellers in an imagined medieval world. In the Empire of Migdal Bavel, Cherry is married to Jerome, a wicked man who makes a diabolical wager with his friend Manfred: if Manfred can seduce Cherry in one hundred nights, he can have his castle – and Cherry." Brainstorm Media has unveiled an official trailer for the movie Tinsel Town, a new Christmas-time comedy starring Kiefer Sutherland who gets mixed in a small town in England during the holidays. Made by director Chris Foggin, arriving to watch later in November for anyone who might be interested. A washed-up Hollywood action star leaves the US and ends up taking a surprise role in a small English village's Christmas pageant production of Cinderella. With the help of the straight-talking choreographer and quirky cast in the town, he embraces the holiday spirit while reconnecting with his young daughter. The feel-good movie stars Kiefer Sutherland as "Bradley Mack", Rebel Wilson, Derek Jacobi, Mawaan Rizwan, Maria Friedman, Jason Manford, Asim Chaudhry, Danny Dyer, Ray Fearon, and Lucien Laviscount. Arriving next October! Aardman Animation & Studiocanal have revealed the very first quick announcement teaser for a brand new Shaun the Sheep movie arriving next year in October. Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom is a Halloween-themed stop-motion animated movie currently scheduled to open in theaters Halloween 2026 🎃, which is why they're revealing this first look right now, one year ahead of its debut worldwide. The film is the third stop motion animated feature film from Aardman's globally loved brand: following Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015) + the first sequel A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon (2019) – along with other short films & series based on Shaun as well.
