But I’d also recommend The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers (?). It takes a bit to get up to speed, but I love how she explores cultural questions through making humans secondary characters in a galaxy full of sentient species.

This little one is named Quan Yin and I’m fostering her for a week. Someone found her on the road yesterday and brought her to the spay/neuter clinic I volunteer at. She only weighs 372g (less than a pound)!
