In other exciting news, I’m curating and introducing a second #Noirvember mini-season at the Chiswick Cinema next month, after the success of last year. Tickets available here: www.chiswickcinema.co.uk/noirvember-2...
Back in the Prado for what will probably be my final film of this year’s wonderful @sitgesfestival, sharksploitation doc Aquel Ultimo Tiburon. #Sitges
____/\___ 🦈
Disastrous programming fail at Sitges - someone has programmed Tintorera and The Shark Hunter so that they overlap and you can’t see both! Only one screening each, too. What’s a sharksploitation fan supposed to do? ___/\_____
Fair play to Christoph Waltz, who has managed to appear in both Dracula and Frankenstein this year. @sitgesfilmfestival.bsky.social
Do the Bishop. Mostly because I want to see the Springsteen *cough* plus one *cough*
Anyone seen this? It’s playing at Notting Hill Picturehouse on Tuesday.
So farewell then, Stacey Slater,
Off to Brazil, of all places,
Because Sean has apparently bought a restaurant or something,
At least you’re leaving Lily behind,
Even if the scriptwriters had to jump through hoops to make that happen.

Delighted to be moderating a Q&A for a screening of Brides (one of the best British films of the year) at @ChiswickCinema tonight. Do come along, if you’re free. Tickets here: www.chiswickcinema.co.uk/films/brides...
By fortuitous coincidence, @princecharlescinema.com are showing The Sting tomorrow. #RIPRobertRedford
Saddened by the death of Robert Redford, and not just because I was at a family funeral when I found out. Of his late career films, I highly recommend this, if you’ve never seen it.

I don’t get this joke!
I think so, yes. Very nice.
They are a slight letdown compared to the Hula Hoops, in all honesty. Not Seabrooks’ finest hour.
Ealing Morrisons definitely saw me coming.
I was going to say no dairy, until I got to that end bit.
I feel like it’s both on brand for Hula Hoops and close enough to the official smoky bacon colour.
Summer is definitely over then, yes?
Oh, COME ON. There’s a new series of Only Murders in the Building? Like I don’t have enough TV to catch up on already?
So farewell then, “Jonno” Highway,
Dead from a heart attack in Callum’s kitchen,
You weren’t really in it enough to really merit one of these,
But it’s been a while, so here you are,
At least Ben is coming back for your funeral,
So there’s that.
