I was trying to find the source for that scene where a character walks towards the camera as signs of places they're passing/visiting float by them. The Simpsons use it at some point.

Google couldn't pick up what I was putting down & instead accuses me of misremembering the movie "Signs".

As someone who now uses the awful bottle&can recycle machines, my favourite part of them is still a toss-up between the machine telling me that I'm putting the bottles in too fast (despite never having more than one on the belt at a time) and being told to "try again" after they're already taken.

My hatred for their hair-conforming space helmets and my desire for a bike helmet that doesn't smoosh any attempts at a good hair day is a hypocrisy tinted with jealously, and I am okay with that.

Obviously the whole Phoenix concept was just created and I'm sure was not expected to be the big thing that it's become since, so there was no required reverence to treat it with or anything, it's just funny in hindsight.

I think it's just that I'd built up my expectation of finally actually starting to read the phoenix saga, only to be immediately landed six pages later into a couple of issues of odd 70s paddywhackery featuring the Juggernaut fighting leprechauns inside a castle basement in Mayo.
