The impulse to say that erotica CAN'T say anything of value, that porn MUST be mindless indulgence, is an extension of this problem by the way.

Sex and kink are just parts of life. Art that explores both primarily can touch on other subjects meaningfully as well. Stop trying to silo everything.

The desexualisation of media (everyone is beautiful, and no one is horny) combined with an increasing hysteria around the 'pointlessness' of sex scenes is a key part of the fascistization of western culture and if we're going to fight back we're going to need to make it normal to be horny again.

like i've been a weeb since i was wee and i love the japanese language but very few japanese VAs scratch that audial itch and i'm finding it eeeeeverywhere in korean media
