I tend to avoid red & yellow but a few weeks ago I made an open-heart tribute that completely shifted my view. The deep reds with sunflowers blended into something rich, vibrant, and stunning. An exception to my rule, and one I truly loved.

A few weeks ago, a gentleman requested red roses & lily of the valley for his wife’s grave. With the lily out of season, we blended fresh roses & with artificial LOTV.

The result was a touching tribute, just as he had envisioned.

When I make a tribute for a woman (or other genders if needed), I edge it with organza ribbon to soften it.

For a heart with pale blue roses, I found a ribbon with similar flowers - subtle once finished, but it beautifully accentuated the heart.
