Text reads: It’s been more than ten years since Elizabeth Hanson posited “the logic of asexuality for narrative structure” to serve as a way for asexual readers and academics to engage with asexual identity in literature (2014:329; emphasis in original). As easy as it is today to cringe over her description of “asexuality in narrative stasis” (2014:329), I’m sure much of what I write into polyamorous narrative discourse today will come across just as cringeworthy in future discourse. Such is the difficulty faced in breaking new academic ground.

To me as well!! I'm actually truly excited to go further down this road (but thought this article might have already gotten long enough already).

Suffice to say, what you wrote opened my mind and I now have an entire chapter planned on vampire/gothic dynamics as well as polyamorous family dynamics
