Me now that exactly zero preseason predictions directly involve the postseason

The Cubs doubling the Bears in September predictions is hereby declared FALSE.
...and because I know you're wondering: The Cubs record for runs scored at Wrigley Field is 26.

(h/t EWStats lead stat nerd and occasional StatBlast consultant Michael Mountain)
Okay yeah that would be pretty funny
The Cubs have the opportunity to do the funniest thing (score 84 runs)
And now we patiently await the result of the Cubs game since we technically need to allow for the possibility that they score 85 runs before closing our next prediction

Slight update: We're pretty sure the <94% sac fly success rate is FALSE. However, we're seeing noise in the data on Baseball Savant, and are awaiting confirmation from far more qualified sources who are generously helping to analyze the data.
It's a bit delayed, but after internal discussion I am now ready to declare Meg's prediction of two teams announcing new controlling ownership as TRUE... with a caveat.

If the White Sox deal should ever fall through, Meg's points earned on this prediction will be deducted from that year's contest.
Fun fact: 1,084 out of the 1,556 ballots are currently in the black! (Just under 70%, nice)

This is how I learned the mets beefed it
The New York Mets— SOMEHOW— have missed the postseason.

I have the Bears at 101, so the Cubs need to score 85.

I'd say 'stranger things have happened', but that would be a lie.
@ewstats.com Am I right that the Cubs only need to score 83 runs on Tuesday for them to get to 200 runs for September, double the Bears' total?
Updates to @megrowler.fangraphs.com's ballot:

- Isaac Paredes > Kyle Tucker fWAR - FALSE
- Mets miss the playoffs - TRUE
- Nick Kurtz > Travis Bazzana fWAR - TRUE
- Chandler Simpson leads SB's - FALSE
Updates to @benclemens.bsky.social's ballot:

- Juan Soto > Aaron Judge fWAR - FALSE
- Ohtani throwing fastest pitch by a starter - FALSE
- 3 Rockies will have >500 PA, neg fWAR - FALSE
- The league K% rate will be <22% - FALSE
(I also believe the <94% sac fly success rate is false but it's a trickier calculation so still confirming)
Updates to @benlindbergh.bsky.social's ballot:

- ATH or TBR will not have the league's lowest home attendance - FALSE
- 3+ pitchers will throw at least 20 knuckleballs - FALSE
- A player still steal 80 bases - FALSE
- Guardians will finish worse than 10th in reliever WPA - FALSE
We will have about a dozen more predictions to close at the conclusion of today's action, stay tuned!

It wasn't a prediction, but I feel like "There will be zero no-hitters thrown over the regular season" would have earned a LOT of points.

With CWS's Shane Smith losing his bid in the 7th, that just got clinched.
