By that, I mean controlling every aspect. I want this to feel more arcadey (ala Golf Story) over simulation (ala Tiger Woods). I think this way saves me problems in the long run and makes the math easier. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'm all for it. #learningprocess #gamedev #gamemaker

Absolutely, I’ve been playing all the old Mario golf games from NES to GBA era to get a feel for what I would like to do. I’m operating on the principle that it doesn’t need to be super realistic, I’ll leave that for the big guns.

The era of top down golf games always appealed to me. Mario Golf especially, and then when Golf Story came out it reignited that love I had for them. So that is my goal and inspiration.

Time to maybe provide some accountability. I'm just a single person trying to fulfill a dream of making games as a 40-ish man working from home. No experience, but that's the dream. Always wanted to make a Golf Game, so let's do it. #gamedev #sologamedev #amateurgamedev #makeagame #newskills
