I truly believe draw-distance in video games offers an interesting take on the scale of the universe vs the scarcity of visible matter the further away you look and the behavior of particles absent of observation.

Physicist William Higinbotham was born #OTD in 1910. During the Manhattan Project he was the Electronics Group leader at Los Alamos.

In 1958, while working at Brookhaven Lab, he invented one of the first video games: “Tennis for Two.” It ran on an oscilloscope! 🧪 ⚛️

In Norfolk, the Union Monitor Club declared, “Traitors shall not dictate or prescribe the terms of our citizenship.”

In Louisiana, the New Orleans Tribune led the charge for Black suffrage, as freedpeople abandoned plantations en masse to cast their votes. 🗳️
