So far today we've had fog so thick it was raining off the trees, a beautiful sunny warm autumn day perfect for a drive to leaf peep, a sudden but brief rain storm, and now it's grey, sudden, and cold...and it's only 11:04 in the morning. Can't wait to see what the other 8 hours of sunlight holds.

Dreamed I was in a large department store in a city. I was looking for the elevator but couldn't find it. I found a concert hall, a water taxi service, an underground high speed train, and one of those pod hotels but no stairs or elevators. 🤷

My mother was a professor. I have a masters but neither of us followed in her footsteps. We saw all the nitty gritty of that world and chose vastly different paths. It's not unlike having a celebrity parent in that everyone respects them for their position but knows nothing about their reality.
