#Hamas supporters are less than 5% of population of #Gaza and have taken to streets killing many Gazans who oppose them. After 2 years of bloodshed Israel has failed to dislodge them and #Trump peace plan is looking very fragile.
Extraordinary that #Trump & World leaders sign #peace treaty but do not invite or seek signatures of those doing the fighting - #Israel and #Hamas. They are under no obligation to observe treaty or ensure that starving #Gazans get food as shown by their subsequent actions.
I repeat, recognition without redress leaves Australia not as a nation, but a community of thieves. Greeting someone with flowery words while actively attacking them is yet another trait of white people. So if nothing it will accurately describe this country. This is an argument you won’t win.
When this Preamble to #Constitution wins at #Referendum it will be first time Australian voters have recognised our nations 65000 years heritage. Redress cannot be provided in Constitution. It can be achieved only by legislation passing Parliament. You get that legislation up and I will back it.
I can not support this petition. You start with recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as the traditional owners of this now stolen land. Recognition without redress is the seems to only apply to us, never to white people. If you want a united Australia that’s where you start.
