It’s definitely a fad at this point. The “healthy eating” world just keeps adding new ones: raw food, fruitarianism, macrobiotic diet, zero carbs, high protein, Mediterranean diet, gluten-free, keto, etc.

Orthorexia nervosa is a real disease, with medicine and doctors and everything.
Then go for it! You might see a small improvement!

Same guy:

“Those working out four or five times a week might see a small improvement, according to Professor Stuart Phillips, the co-author of a 2022 scientific review and meta-analysis of protein intake to support muscle mass and function.”
Or maybe raw? Cool Hand Luke it, bro.
Got it! Might be the right call for insulin resistance, but for muscles, this researcher says “anyone who isn’t a dedicated, professional athlete is unlikely to experience much of a difference from incorporating extra protein (over the RDA) into their diet.”

No, you really don’t need to be eating more protein
From pizza to Weetabix, it seems no food is safe from becoming a mere vessel for ’tein. Helen Coffey investigates how it went from gym bro fodder to panacea for the masses, and asks the experts whethe...

Yeah, I guess it wouldn’t be. Because of protein?
Jeebus, that’s a lot of chicken. How much training are you doing?
Same. I’ve traveled to Hungary, Belgium, Germany, Poland and around the Czech Republic this year. I might have seen two masks, other than the ones I wore. Not even close to “most.”
That must have been a great show!

(I was just thinking about when I saw the Who in 1989 and how I thought they were old at the time. They would have been around 44 or so then, LOL.)

I also need to know: I am fairly middle-of-the-road on Taylor Swift but someone I know called her the Greatest Living Lyricist. She is not.

Who is yours? Either the greatest or your favorite?
Everything is going to hell, BUT Criterion just added a load of John Woo, Ringo Lam and Tsui Hark classics, PLUS what looks like 13 titles from John Carpenter, 2 from David Cronenberg and a bunch from Godard and Muratova. Also an array of obscure vampire movies.

Send help.
Same. I have to force myself to focus but it’s nigh impossible lately.
The other day I saw a guy using his phone the correct way, and it was so distinctly unusual he legit looked like James Bond.
Not every day I get to drink tmavé pivo from Godspeed at a bar in Prague.
A 500-ml glass filled with dark lager capped with tan foam on a counter at the bar Pult in Prague.
“... but it was that beautiful cut of clouds I could always see above the little SP alley — puffs floating by from Oakland, or the gate of Marin, to the north, or San Jose, south... The clarity of Cal will break your heart.”

We are thrilled to announce that our NEW Large Language Model will be released on 11.18.25.
I’m currently rewatching with my eldest (their first viewing), just finishing season 4 now. It’s pretty damn intense, including all the father-son tension.
Hostomice dark lager is brewed at 14°, so…
Awesome, you’ll have to let me know your dates and interests. In the meantime, maybe think of these articles as me making a custom, pre-trip “Need to Know” reading list for you?
Similar, though that’s not the term I’d use
Gorgeous. (For a while they were serving it with the dark lager on the bottom because of the finishing gravity. Looks great either way, but I prefer this approach.)
