I broke at least two Mego Spider-Mans trying to bend him into swimging poses like in the comics. The rest mostly held up, sometimes an arm or leg peg would give out. It would be okay, sorta, if The Lizard lost his arm, but the Human Torch, no.

My mom dropped me and my sister off to see Wizards. Only one of us was an animation geek. If my sister had poison we would have lost her that day. I was in heaven.

I saw it with my Brooklyn friends when it premiered, then moved to Staten Island and had no one to hang out with and nothing to do. Took buses to two different theaters (Amboy Twin and Richmond Twin iirc) and sat through it twice a number of times. By myself. I thought I was pathetic even then.

Halloween Radio: THE STONE TAPE (BBC 4, 2015)
Filmmaker Peter Strickland (Berberian Sound Studio) adapts the Nigel Kneale-scripted TV movie as a radio play. Features music from James Cargill of the band Broadcast and is in binaural sound (???) and is apparently best listened to w/headphones. Creepy.

If you didn’t know, Alaska has been hit by a massive storm, causing severe flooding. Many Indigenous villages have been completely wiped out, with some houses floating away with PEOPLE INSIDE THEM. Please keep posting to spread the info. They need help.

These are mostly indigenous communities in Alaska that have been slammed by the storm.

The local manager of a small airline fleet says he is the only one doing evacuations right now!

Defund FEMA and people are abandoned. Defund public media and no-one knows.

FYI, today is Indigenous Peoples Day.
