I think there were a few odd Isis cases ten years ago from Guria, which is a lot closer to Adjara than Pankisi.

In addition to his activities in the Bar Association, Uçum was one of the "wise men" involved in the previous peace process that failed. He's also a member of TESEV.

Anyone know what happened to TESEV? They used to do loads of good reports...

Chief legal adviser Mehmet Uçum seems like a truly interesting person. While I feel his current positions are often close to those of former interior minister Soylu, Uçum is a former communist and active member of Istanbul bar association, who worked on the extrajudicial killings of 1990s.

I'm afraid there's some understanding between Erdoğan and Öcalan, and democracy or rule of law are not part of that
