Not long now, and this big-budget trailer is proof of that.

'Sick Power Trip' hits shelves on 10 July.

Got big early 2000s nostalgia when I happened upon this random battered-to-shit CD on the pavement tonight.

This is how our cities used to look!
A badly damaged bright orange CD picked up from the pavement by a walker and held up for a picture. In 2025.

The album is 'Lagered! 4: A Rumble Through the Crates', some electronic music sampler from New Zealand in 1999.

The list of books from this era that will be considered classics in 100 years would probably horrify you.
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

My 15yo child, unexpectedly: “Yeah, I have at least 3 LinkedIn accounts. All fake. I use them to check on my teachers’ qualifications. I keep getting job offers because I ticked something that said I used to work in middle management for Asda.”
Okay, but you shouldn't get a basic income because you're an artist, you should get a basic income because you're a person.
Ireland has approved plans to permanently implement a basic income program that will support up to 2,200 artists.

A cost-benefit analysis found that for every €1 invested, society receives €1.39 back.

Officials from other countries are now expressing interest in the program.

In shock news…

There’s a whole historiography on this happening to male white-collar clerical workers in the late 19th century. They saw it happen to themselves in real time. It turned many of them into ferocious reactionaries.

I self-describe as a 'rocker' (because I use a rocking motion rather than a straight up-and-down chopping motion when I use my kitchen knife).

On rare occasion there’s an accurate headline about rapid climate warming
and it’s always jarring as hell
and a reminder how much we’re being lied to on a daily basis.
Headline reading “Atlantic current at risk of collapse - plunging U.K. into never ending winter”
Especially if it's the colour of Tewkesbury mustard.
I have one rule in life: if I see a little 1970s British sports car, I take a picture of it.
Picture of a brownish orange 1973 Morris Roadster, a sports car about as big as an ottoman.
Briefly imagining Auden as an Estuary English speaker saying something like /ˈwɪnʔɚ/.
Finally, some clarity.
