Nah, it'd be kosher. In a world where magic is something you can learn from a book at a school, wizard, it's not sorcery in the theological sense. It's not, for lack of a better term, supernatural here. It's part of the divine nature of this place that people can heal with a touch and shoot fire.

I am not particularly brave or aloof. I crave acceptance and praise like most people, and am by inclination a shy nerd with all the steel of a cinnamon roll.

Growing up something that drilled into me, and I experienced, was that my religious and political beliefs meant a lot of people wouldn't like me. And that was part of the price of having those beliefs.

When I moved more liberal, I accepted the loss of family and community it entailed.

If I could though, fantasy land here, I'd really like it if all the illiberal right-wingers could just go to Putin's Russia. All the non-voters go to Xi's china. And the liberals of both nations to come here in their place.

No horrible fates for anyone. Just the systems they obviously prefer.

That's kind of my sister. It's either trash romance manga, or physiology articles. She can and will read whatever is relevant to her field, but you simply will not get her to read literature of any kind. Hard to grok, but some people don't like to read despite being very competent at it.

Only one I really know anything about it Ground News. They kept sponsoring Perun and it looked interesting enough that I got a year subscription for my mom. She seems to enjoy it and has found it useful.

I can't vouch for anything else, but yeah, product works as described.
