Funds have been cut from many facets of our government that we have yet to see or understand, and What has tragically happened in Texas could be a result of that. This administration continues to say promises made, promises kept Meanwhile, children’s lives have been cut short. It’s devastating. 🙏🏾

Sometimes it’s not about who agrees with you…it’s about using every medium available to make sure the voices of those who count on you are heard. Leadership means speaking up, even when it’s uncomfortable. I applaud Leader Jeffries for breaking Strom Thurmond’s record. This took courage.

What I know for sure is that change is not optional! It’s necessary. With that comes the need for fresh, forward-thinking ideas about what that change should look like. The Dem Party has both the intellect and the ability to be a servant of that change guided by justice, and rooted in community.

You should be tuned in to C-SPAN because it’s so important to hear legislators speak about this bill. The reality is that this bill will cripple the health and wellness of many. Locally to me in DuPage County District 3, I am truly concerned for a community of residents, terrified actually!

DuPage County Illinois has been doing so many amazing things! The DuPage County Crisis Recovery Center’s expansion looks amazing. It’s during these times that facilities like these are necessary! I am so excited to see this happening! So many lives will be impacted for GOOD!

I was on Capitol Hill advocating for our children last week and I’ll be heading to the State Capitol in the coming weeks to do the same thing! Children not having adequate tools and environments needed to thrive is unacceptable.

This wonderful museum is under attack and it’s truly heartbreaking. This museum’s filled with American History which is also Black History. We must not omit history, this is what enriches our knowledge and experiences. I took a visit and it was such a wonder experience.

Many Americans are struggling and feel bouts of uncertainty about their future. There needs to be a genuine collaborative effort from both sides of the aisle to remedy the downfalls of what is currently taking place. Praying so hard for God to make a way through this.
