The first looks exposed enough that I'd try wetting the area, cutting a line in the screw head with a Dremel / rotary cutter, and unscrewing with a flathead.

The second looks tough -- I'd hit with penetrating oil and try the extractor bit again.

Full disclosure: I am not a great carpenter.
It's in the sequel -- "The Order of the Black Eagle"
I thought the latest episode was easily the best -- the tension and themes are coming together and feel unique as opposed to yet another rehash of the first two films (which are among my favorites.) Some great expansion of the world, especially with the new creatures.

Very curious where it is going
This is incredible, Lindsay. Great work on both the fundraising and the video itself!

remember folks, we cant have gun restrictions because if we do the federal government will occupy our streets, imprison people without due process, ship dissidents to foreign gulags and things of that nature
I love sitter4paws! We have two cats -- one older, who needs regular medication -- and they've always taken incredible care of them. They're my go-to recommendation for anyone looking for pet care while away. Good to know they're also doing house checks for those without pets.
You might want to look into DaVinci Resolve. As long as you're not exporting higher than UHD (3840 x 2160, 16:9) you can use the free version. It's pretty fully featured -- I've used it to prep big projects for online / color with no issue.
I recently rewatched it as my wife had never seen it. What an incredible show that remains ever-relevant.
Happy birthday to both you and @shawnabenson.bsky.social — I hope it was a wonderful day!
First, happy birthday!

Second, this should absolutely be your weekend plan. Just watch the first two — anything beyond that is both retreading old ground and misses the thematic point of the original James Cameron films
"Nobody Does it Better" is a great theme, though of Bassey's songs I prefer "Diamonds are Forever"

I have a soft spot for "The Man with the Golden Gun" -- it's not a great theme, but it's better than, say, "Die Another Day"

My controversial opinion is "Licence to Kill" is dull and way too long.

They thought AI would be able to replace astronaut jobs on the mission to Jupiter to investigate those monolith signals and look how that turned out
Several from "Pod People" are regularly said in my household:

"It's called evil, kid."

"Food, eating, the theater!"

"Oh, little potatoes!" / "This potato's got big ears."

And for absolutely no reason at all in our current climate, the perennial "Trumpy, you can do stupid things!"
Does anyone else have an MST3K line they use regularly, even if it makes no sense out of context?

Because I have both "That'll keep your panfish down for a while." and "Come come, boys, we must confound Jerry at every turn!" from MST3K the movie alone.

Hell yeah! Congrats to you and the Lower Decks team! Well deserved.
Holy hell, what an incredible weekend of programming at the @amcinematheque.bsky.social -- all 18 episodes of "Twin Peaks: The Return" screening across three days with panels / intros from cast and crew. September 19-21, a nice lead-in to Beyond Fest

That would be my guess. They talked a lot about bottle episodes or "bottling up the action," especially in early TNG interviews.

I'm jealous of your copy of "The Making of Star Trek" -- it's in significantly better shape than mine! Though the previous owner kindly answered the teaser question.
"Inside Star Trek: The Real Story" has a reference to TOS being the origin of a "bottle show," crediting Robert H. Justman as the originator. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

The Official Companion for "The Outer Limits" claims it is from producer Leslie Stevens a few years before TOS.
I ran a test several months ago with Acrobat's AI assistant on a TV pilot I had written (the script was already publicly available.) It was unable to answer basic questions about the plot, including whether or not a character died during the episode.

Don't use it to "review" a contract.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT let anyone who isn't a HUMAN LAWYER review a "big contract" for you. And if your lawyer uses anything like this, GET A NEW LAWYER.
Jeri was a regular at multiple picket sites for the WGA from the beginning of our strike. She's the real deal -- pro-union, strong in her convictions, and just as cool as you think she is. SAG-AFTRA would be lucky to have her on their board.

Michelle Hurd also rocks and is running for Treasurer.
Ballots are out! I’m honored to be running on the 2025 Coalition slate. Please cast your vote for us — together, we can make a powerful difference for all SAG-AFTRA members. thecoalition2025.org #TheCoalition2025 #AstinHurd2025 #SAGAFTRA #UnionStrong #SAGAFTRAElection #UnionPower #UnionProud
